Blue/Citron available for the same price.

    Actually $0.60 cheaper haha

    • My eyes are playing up today :)

      Thanks for pointing that out!

  • What's the cheapest it's been?

  • This, or AirPods?
Note, I'm using an Android as of right now.

    • From the reviews I've read, if you value sound quality, don't get airpods

      • I was thinking to get these, i lost one of my airpods lol.

However ive read that these lag terribly if watching a video and when phone calls come in, only one side works.

        • Yes, that's normal whenever a phone call coming in, not a deal breaker, watching video and last terribly? Never.. I've been using my at the gym since the past few months, watching videos on tablet.. Never experienced lag.

      • Easy to sell as a second hand?

Air pods don't even have changeable tips.

          What is changeable tips?

@scratchback: From this comment, I can tell you are an Apple fan

            • @RADICALIST: Typical Apple nuffie.
Looking at his previous comments they just degrade any non Apple electronics haha.

Did you just say Celebrity using a product is better than quality….

    • Neither.

    This vs Jabra Elite 65T?

    • I would like to know too

      • I personally have the elite active 65t and love them. Comfy and the battery life is excellent. I also like the equaliser settings in the app

Bose, I've read have better bass. Battery life isn't as good as 65t.

        • Where is a good place to buy the Elite Active 65T? Worth getting from US for a better price?

          • @mreddie: The cheapest I have seen it for is from this deal… I got mine from HN using the Amex $250/$50 back offer, which made it $200.

The Elite 65t was for $179 for quite sometime and just expired

If you don't intend to use it at the gym, the elite 65t should be just about enough. The active series has waterproofing, where the standard one is sweatproof

    • Jabra is the all round better choice

    • can confirm. Personally, Jabra Elite 65t is 9/10. Only issue is a relatively weak bass. However, in terms of design, built, music, call quality… it is really good

    • Bose sound better and are more comfortable, Jabra win on all other measures (external appearance / not sticking out of your ears, connection, battery, etc).

  • Very tempting..

Amazon has been killing it lately … They must have a whole team of people monitoring other websites and constantly price matching/beating. Not to mention matching Coles/Woolies weekly specials. Aussie retailers must be shitting their pants!

And JB Hi Fi guys are chilling for the thousands of sheeps who walk to the store everyday as everything sold online is geared to be fake. Even Costco pricing had increased over last 1 year dunno what they are thinking, reverse pricing strategy

    • +1

      people monitoring

Lol no. They’d would have scripts scrapping others sites.

      • I'm sure they do use scripts, but when it comes to things like eBay 20% off promotions pretty sure that would need to be a person as the discounted price isn't reflected in the headline price listed on eBay.

        • Discount prices generally are shown on listings. Under the price there’s a “pay only xxxx. See How” link on the listings with sale items. Click it and they show the coupon.

That and the home page will have a massive banner that takes the person to a dedicated page that then has terms and conditions about the discount.

They must have a whole team of people monitoring other websites and constantly price matching/beating

Nah… all they do is watching OzBargain :)

    • very sophisticated AI and machine learning strategies are used

  • Bloody ugly - they really stick out of your ears!

    • Why is this a focus when exercising. Surely in this segment, it’s more of a matter of function over form.

    • +4

can it really be worse than airpods though? I scoff everytime I see someone with those electric toothbrush heads in their ears.
      Looks really silly.

      • 'cos I think if you are going to spend $200 on ear phones, and they are made by (arguably) one of the finest audio companies on the planet, then you could argue that there should be some aesthetic happiness derived from your purchase.

As opposed to 2 big knobs hanging out of your ears.

And no way would these stay in your ears when exercising vigorously.

I'd say this is a classic 'first gen' model from a large company. I would avoid, go with the Jabra who are on to their 3rd gen now, and await Bose's next attempt.

  • This or Samsung Icon X ?

    • Icon x (2018) is rated better then the jabra elites, Bose and Air Pods.

      • rated by who? I think I'm leaning towards the Icon, too - but I thought the Jabra was more highly rated.

But then I wonder if I should just go with the Bose, since I think I prefer non in ear and don't really mind the look. Gonna go in store and check them out.

        • +2

There are a few great audio rating sites. I prefer rtings.com

          https://www.rtings.com/headphones/tools/compare/samsung-gear…

Compare any two headphones from the drop down for a comparison of stats.

In saying that, there are other in depth sites also.

          • @swimmingtoad: Do you know which one of the earphones have the feature where they pause music if one is removed? I don't even know what the feaature would be called..

Edit: I think only the Jabra do

Anyone who runs care to give an opinion on the figment? Do they stay in snuggly?

    Thanks

    • really keen to hear opinions on this also

    • Good question, also can you go some where to try it on?

      • That would be a hygeine issues so no store would allow this, you can't even try demo FitBits on in store.

        • Wrong, you can try them on at a Bose store. They have demo units you can try and alcohol wipes to clean them.

      • If there's a Bose store near you, you can try them there (not a reseller, but an actual Bose-branded store).

  • Got excited for a minute when it was showing $174.51 for an overseas address.
