Assume the cat needs a better balance then pure protein and some fat? Doesn't it need carbs?
And vitamins such as thiamine.

…and a good dose of plastic.
Doesn't it need carbs?
Carnivores can't digest carbs properly and don't need them in any substantial amount.
They get all their energy from protein and fat.

Cats like Chilli
which variant tastes the best ?
chilli oil
I like the italian oil one, and the basil oil one is pleasant for a change.
Puttanesca - but I don't know if it is available in the middle size
tut, tut… this is a family site - puttanesca (pronounced [puttaˈneska]; literally "spaghetti in the style of a whore")

Time to stock up again!
Goddamm yes, this price doesn't come by often enough
I've noticed it only happens in Dec and Jan. If you miss out on this Coles or Woolies will do it again soon.
Stock up time, I've been using tuna with Cauliflower rice lately nice mix with some veg
This reminds me.
Both Coles and Woolworths sell 185g of tuna for $1.15. These cans are made for the lower crust of society such as myself, and thus they don't have graphics of lively looking fish with a spring in their flap or a disorienting rainbow of colours. I don't mind this so much since the supermarkets are obviously reminding me of my personal situation and suggesting that maybe I, represented by that fish, could try a little harder.
I thought they could have come from the same factory in Thailand despite the slightly different nutritional information, but alas, I never got to test the Coles version since they don't come with those modern-day, fancy-pants ring-pulls. I might be a lonely fish confined by drab green walls but there's no way I'll be twistin' away at a can at Greater Union just because Coles thinks I probably don't work hard enough.
Thanks for letting us know.
the size of the chunks of tuna varies between brands as does the % of town between brands of same size cans.
they may come from the same factory but there is a definite selection of quality between brands , even types of fish used with some using yellow fin and some using skipjack tuna.
i’ve found sirena one of the better brands in that they have larger chunks of tuna and they use yellow fin tuna.
getting ready to try also tuna next, which also has different % of tuna between can sizes …..up to 10% difference.
Will 20 be enough?
not if your name is Scab
Anyone else feel like the chili version has rubbery feel to it?
Are you eating it with latex gloves?
prepare for the 6 cans per person BS
That has never happened to me with this deal.
Looks like a 12 can promotional limit. No idea if its enforced?
The benefits of self serve checkouts. Do multiple transactions.
@Typical16-bitEnjoyer: Good thinking!
Just bought 24 cans this arvo. Self checkout. No issue. Could've put through more I'm sure.
Just waiting on the 95g can special again. Sure I have 30 on my shelf. But is that enough?
Username checks out.
What's better about this brand.
It's yellowfin, which tastes much better than skipjack used in other brands.
i see, any other yellowfin brands?
Aldi's home brand is the only other one I'm aware of.
Think Coles also do one.
@Scab: Yes, Coles sell 185g tins of yellowfin for $2. The chilii oil variety is my go to https://shop.coles.com.au/a/a-vic-metro-oakleigh/product/col…
So do Woolworths https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/941590/woo…
@Scab: Do you know if Aldi is caught or farmed? Trying to get more information on it but all I can find is "responsibly sourced" which can mean a lot of things.
Yellowfin are hard to farm.
Look up Albacore Tuna. It's the best of the best. The Tuna flesh is white not dark and is caught not farmed. Yes you will pay more as it's not cat food.
I almost finished my last year's stock.. Just in time. Thanks OP. Still raged they put the prices up 15 cents more!
I do like this, it's probably the best tuna brand I've had…. But aldi is very very close, and it's always cheap. Give it a go, it's worth it.
about to try the aldi ones, …..
Cant'tell the difference between Sirena and Aldi tuna.
How much is the Aldi one?
About $1.80 for 185g everyday
I love Sirena tuna and will post on every deal. Morning tea every single day.
This is close to Costco slab prices so I'll be doing an interim pantry stock up.
Sirena's tuna is the best out there. Thanks OP!
Been waiting for this for months!
