Six months before we bought a Ninja from Bing Lee which has 1 year of Manufacturer Warranty and also purchased extended 2 years warranty which they call as "Back Up Plan". It was working fine until yesterday but now blades are not rotating/stuck so want to get the whole product replaced.
Since the product is still under manufacturer Warranty + their back up plan, I took the product to the Bing Lee Prospect store and the store manager confirmed and accept the faulty part (which is the blade) and he said they will contact the Ninja company and get the part replaced. However, this is very different experience one of my friend got as they purchased the product from "The Good Guys" (TGG) and TGG were able to give them whole product as replacement in store as it was also under warranty.
As I really do not just want the one part (blade) to be replaced…need whole replacement. Also, are such decisions whether to offer replacement product or part specific to the store only?
What should I do in this case?
Do you need a whole replacement or want one?
In general I would say anything that caused the blade to no longer function could potentially be classed as a major fault, but in practical terms I would suggest that if there is remedial action being offered that will resolve the problem at it's root cause in a timely fashion, then you're probably just whinging.
