Use the code for 20% off the HelloFresh Christmas box, which is usually around $30 per person depending on the size box your order. The 14 person box is usually $369.95, The 10 person box is usually $299.95 and the 6 person box is usually $199.95.

The Christmas box is a bit different to their standard meal kit in that its designed for a complete Christmas day lunch/dinner with entree and desert for between 4 and 14 people, depending on which size you order. If you are the kind of person who values the time savings from HelloFresh, and Christmas day is at your place this year, I would highly recommend it. We did it last year (not hosting Christmas this year though).

    Not a bargain

50% off hello fresh brings it to the real value so you can try it.

Anymore and you are paying too much. You are literally paying for a recipe card and ingredients that have been prepicked for you.

Just shop online and if you run out of time at home, do it at work.

Do you feel the same with fast food? You are literally paying someone to make you overpriced shit.

      • What a bad comparison.

With fast food you are paying someone to buy ingredients, process/cut ingredients, wages for people to serve you, cook the ingredients, rent for the place that you buy from.

Hello Fresh is a glorified Woolworths/Coles with recipe cards.

Lol, what you said for fast food mostly applies to this company. Good job tho on that strawman πŸ‘πŸ‘

          • @Kozhutki: Hello fresh does not:

            Cut ingredients
            Process ingredients
            Pay rent for restaurants
            Cook the ingredients
            Pay rent for cooks/servers
Pay restaurant insurance and various other fees/costs.
            Pay for cooking equipment.

Sometimes, they portion ingredients, which is a nothing job.

Hello fresh literally buy from the same suppliers as woolworths/coles, package it up, then sell it to you for a 200% markup.

The markup is "justified" from them because they googled recipes, then printed it on a card

I've had many free boxes from them in the past and I'm always amazed at how bad value they are.

Yay, I got a small plastic wrapped bag of rice, which is bad value and bad for the environment.

            • @samfisher5986: But you're paying someone to do it

              • +2

                @Kozhutki: No

                When you buy hellofresh you

                Cut it yourself
                Process it yourself
Pay your own rent for the house you cook it in
                Cook it yourself
Pay for your own cooking equipment
                Pay for electricity/gas

I can only assume you've never had takeaway.. because you think takeaway food is buying vegetables and raw meat and cooking it.. lol

@samfisher5986: But you're paying for someone to get the products for you. It's the same as fast food

                  • @Kozhutki: No

Hello Fresh, Coles and Woolworths are direct from supplies

I think you need some serious assistance on this topic.

  • and the freshness of veges is not that good

  • +1

I tried Hello fresh for a few months.
The quality of produce was terrible. I once for mouldy veges in my box. They would be buying low grass produce to save money which is absurd considering the cost.
The value is non exsistent. If you add up the value of the ingredients, with Monet being small portions or low grade meat and vege, you could buy them for 40-50% of the box price.
You are better off getting Woolies or Coles to deliver your groceries if it is convience youre after.

  • I found that the recipes take a lot less ne’er than they specify.

  • Had a convo about HF today and someone who has tried both said Marley Spoon had better quality ingredients. HF is apparently good for people who can't cook well, MS is good for people who want convenience.
Never tried either as I'm able to manage my time well.
