  Just checked and Centrecom has a version of this with the 1 512gb ssd for cheaper. $2799

  Though having 2 ssd's might be advantageous for speed with Raid0.

  As a "for info" thing the 20xx series has landed in laptops. No idea when they'll be available however, but as companies have announced products, shouldn't be toooo far away.

      The 20xx series is about as energy efficient as the 10xx series, so should be about the same.
