Hi,
Can anyone on Optus network confirm if they are using Apple IPhone Xs or similar for two sims? Say an eSim from Optus and a physical from Vodafone?
Hi,

Thank you for purchasing a future(-proof) product from Apple.
Unfortunately, none of the carriers currently support our dual SIM functions in Australia. Please come back and check in a year. Alternatively, you can purchase an iPhone from mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau so you will get dual nano SIM tray. T&Cs apply.
Do you know that we have Apple Watch Series 4 on sale now? Buy now and you will get mindblowing ECG hardware in-built*.
Nitty-gritty
*According to our lab test. ECG software will be released in the future for the rest of the regions other than US.
PS: I am Apple Watch Series 4 user :-(
eSIM doesn’t work in Australia. I have a dual nano sim XR purchased in Macau and use it on Optus and Telstra. Works fine.
What bands does the phone from Macau has?
Everything but band 28. Honesty I don’t notice the missing band and if you have Vodafone it doesn’t matter as they don’t use it.
May I ask what website did you buy it from? I'd like to buy an xs max with two physical SIM cards. Any help is most appreciated
@TheManInDemand: Sorry can’t advise on a website, I picked mine up from the physical Apple Store at the Shoppes at the Venetian Casino. I ordered online so I could add AppleCare+ and picked up in store. Other retailers there such as Fortress had them for cheaper, but no AppleCare available to be added on later as I didn’t have a local address. I do know that HK websites such as DWI and eGlobal carry them for a good price, but you’re likely to be liable for import GST ordering online. Good luck.
Even though Australian provider don't support e-Sim you can purchase e-Sim plan from overseas provider, eg you can keep your main Physical sim when travelling to receive call and sms while using data plan from the e-Sim
