Sukin is half price RRP at Chemist warehouse starting today until Christmas Eve. This includes starter kits like the new Blemish Control Starter kit and the Sukin baby trial pack but not gift sets which are reduced by approximately 35%.

If you have acne-prone skin, it's a good time to try their new Blemish Control Range. This range contains tea tree oil and eucalyptus oil, and the spot control gel contains salicylic acid as well.

Sukin is Vegan & Cruelty Free and Carbon Neutral.

Generally I find that buying Sukin products in-store is better than online because the stock from the online warehouse seems to be from older batches.

If you are placing an online order, you can get $5 off $60 spend with DFH235. Remember to go through your cashback provider.

Free shipping for online orders above $50 or $25 if you have Shipster membership.

  • Hey Moocher,

for toners, do you prefer the Pixi glow tonic or the Sukin Blemish control toner?

The Pixi toner cost $40!!! So quite a saver compared to the Sukin.

Is the Sukin Blemish Control Spot Banishing used for on the spot pimple treatment?

At the moment I use Clearasil Ultra Acne Treatment 4hr Rapid Action Pimple Cream which cost $14.80 so $5 for the sukin seems pretty good.

    • +1

I actually haven't used either but they serve different purposes. The pixi glow tonic has 5% Glycolic Acid which is an AHA which makes it good for exfoliation. The Sukin blemish control toner has Eucalyptus, Tea Tree oils which has an anti-bacterial effect for blemish-prone skin.

Yes I believe so. You can read about it here. In general, sukin products are very gentle. I can't vouch for effectiveness of the Sukin spot gel compared to clearasil. It's best if you compare the ingredients lists and google to find out more about the ingredients.

  • At the moment I used the Sukin gentle charcoal cleanser which you recommended to me.

Do you think it'll be more effective if I use the Sukin Blemish Control Clearing Facial Wash which has Sacylic acid with the Pixi Glycolic toner? Or will that be over-exfoliating for my skin??

Salicylic acid is a Beta hydroxy acid which is oil-soluble and works differently from an Alpha hydroxy acid which is water-soluble. BHA's work deeper into the pore whereas AHA is mainly for skin surface exfoliation. This Paula's choice article explains the two, and they don't recommend using both at the same time. I personally am using both but on different days.

Yeah this Blemish range is new. If you have acne then it's worth giving it a try and see which one you like better.

  • Thanks for the heads up, I need a bit more of the body wash. I'm not sure if I'm missing something here but the body wash with the pump is SOOO much cheaper than the body wash with just the cap.

    • Yeah it's weird, sometimes they don't include refills in the sale :/

      • it is on sale, but the discount isn't 50%. That sort of thing annoys me; I don't need the pump but I have to pay more to not have it. It would be great if they had bulk options so I can reuse my existing bottle.

        • Yeah annoying :/

  • ive got a lot of acne scars and oily skin, what sort of products would you recommend??

    • Do you mean in general or just from the Sukin range? Based purely on the product descriptions, you could try either one of these for daily cleansing and moisturising to address oiliness:

Sukin doesn't make sunscreens so do add a sunscreen or use moisturiser with sun protection for the day. If you don't want to use a separate sunscreen on top of moisturiser for the day, then the Olay
Complete Defence Sensitive Moisturiser Lotion SPF 30+
is a good basic moisturiser with sun protection for oily skin, currently half price at Coles.

As for the acne scarring, I have to say I have zero personal experience to be able to recommend anything, but you could try incorporating some products that target textural irregularities from The Ordinary (Scroll to 'textural irregularities').
