How does this compare to the one on sale (8th Dec) at Aldi -
Skyview HD Quadcopter $99.00
This one is often rated top out of the 'toy drone' category.

Don't know about the ALDI one specifically but the camera seems decent on the Tello.
Features mostly outlined here but I guess the biggest difference is that the Aldi drone is 2.4ghz proprietary wireless while the Tello is wifi enabled.
It also runs Intel SoC so it's programmable, there's an open SDK, a smartphone app for it and it also works with mainstream VR headsets. Basically it's quite a bit smarter and is easier for complete noobs to fly (in terms of ease of use, stability and flight controls)
After using my done, which is 6 axis drone, and seeing a dji fly, I’d only by something I’ve seen fly. As mine (from repco) is crap, Bit of wind and mine is uncontrollable, can never get it to hover, even when playing with trim… everyone is out to make a buck on drones, do yourself a favour and buy a reputable drone
Mmm, Ive been looking at pulling the trigger on thee parrot one, why would the Tello be better than the Parrot I ask?
Looking at Hermonskis post above, the Tello beats the Parrot , except for FPV….
Ok so the Tello! Thanks OP,thanks H. I can use my YOUI 10% off token and 6% at Shopback for additional savings.
