    Hi OP, the description on the amazon item page says "standard 5W recharge for iPhone X / 8 Plus / 8 and non-fast charge phones", while your description says that iPhone X/8/8+ should charge at up to 7.5W. Which one is correct?

      The description is old and needs updating. The newer iPhones can do 7.5, the X/8/8+ is complicated.

      They are capable but apple prevented it with a software block, I think there was an update that finally allowed it.

      Bottom line, if your phone is capable of charging at 7.5W then you should be able to do it with these chargers.

        I'd suggest its best to confirm rather than guessing. My understanding is only certain models will support 7.5w on an iPhone and they'll need to support the components of the spec Apple implemented specifically. Especially around the time 11.2 announced the supported hardware list included 2 or 3 devices despite the market being flooded with devices that supported 10w or higher for Android.

        I'd stay right away from any product that doesn't explicitly state 7.5w support for iOS devices on the spec sheet if thats important to you. I think it's note worthy that after 11.2 was released RavPower was among one of the companies that shortly after released new models that did explicitly state they were updated models and that iOS 7.5w support was included while listings for the existing models weren't updated to add this. There was a few examples of this on Amazon US where the older models had links to the 'upgraded' versions as part of the listing.

        Even the article you linked to states

        According to both of those manufacturers, only companies that partner with Apple (like them) will be able to be certified and have their Qi chargers take advantage of the 7.5w power output.

        Implying the devices need to be certified for the support. RavPower and others since then have released certified products, but again that further reinforces the notion that I wouldn't go for a RavPower model that currently states the feature is unsupported if they have models that do state support. 11.2 is 12 months old at this point too so thats a long time to not update a listing to include a feature important to a large portion of the smartphone market.

      The Stand has dual coils, so it will charge your phone whether it is in portrait or landscape position.

      They will both charge your phone at the same rate.

      It's not able to charge through metal cases though.

      It won't work as the charge won't pass through metal.

      Though I have seen someone suggest that as the stand has dual coils, if you move the metal disc to the bottom half of the case it will work.

      You would need to experiment with it yourself though.

      I think one is flat while the other is a stand. The stand allows you to charge on both orientations.

    I realise that this item has expired, but thought I'd share that you can't get 5% cashback from Cashrewards.     Damn, I got the dual coil stand and it won't work with my Nexus 7 (2013) tablet (which was specifically what I bought it for as the charging port is not the best). I suspect in portrait the charging spot is higher than the stand but no idea why it doesn't work when laid on the side :-/

    This charger does not fast charge as others have also left in the reviews on Amazon, I have tried the original fast charging adapter and my Blitzworlf QC 2.0 adapter with the same result and made sure fast charging is enabled on my Samsung Note 8.
