    Ok yeah your prices are exactly the same as JB but if the TV breaks down you replace it a bit faster with a refurbished unit.

        sure parts of the bible were written hundreds of years after events occurred and has been mistranslated a million times and its overall vagueness is something to marvel at, but it is written!!

          I'm afraid you have your biblical history all wrong (both on when books were written and on the veracity of translations) but this sort of ignorance prevails, so it's not your own fault.

          As for interpretation of the bible, particularly the last book (where this number briefly appears), leave that to the experts…

Hurting religious sensibilities is a perilous business these days so I had better oblige. Actually, it is a pleasure, for scientists can't often get satisfyingly dusty in the library indulging in a real academic foot-note. The point is in fact well known to biblical scholars, and not disputed by them. The Hebrew word in Isaiah is (almah), which undisputedly means 'young woman', with no implication of virginity. If 'virgin' had been intended (bethulah) could have been used instead (the ambiguous English word 'maiden' illustrates how easy it can be to slide between the two meanings). The 'mutation' occurred when the pre-Christian Greek translation known as the Septuagint rendered almah into … (parthenos), which really does usually mean virgin.       Putting the price at $666 is cute, but some people really do have a bizarre phobia of this number. It's like pricing something at $444 for the Chinese market.

          phobia: "a persistent, irrational fear of a specific object, activity, or situation that leads to a compelling desire to avoid it. "

          Being wary of a product because it is priced at $666 fits that description perfectly.
