Best bang for buck bright torch?

Pretty happy with my BLF Q8 but just wondering if there is any brighter and better torches around the $50 mark

I got the Thorfire C8 from deals which was good but no way as good as the BLF Q8

  • I've got the Lumintop GT mini for around $50aud delivered. It wouldn't be as bright but it is pocketable and runs on one 18650.
See link code right at the bottom.

  • Don't think you'll find a better price to lumen ratio than the BLF Q8!

What are you using it for?

  • I have a thrunite TN4a which I bought off ebay through discount codes and gift cards paid around the $60 about a year ago.

runs on 4 AA and throws 1150 lumens..

This is the 5000 (if you have the right batteries) lumen torch right?

    That's pretty bright already …

    • Yes 5000 lumens, just wondering if there is any brighter ones like 10,000 lumens. Found the BLF pretty useful but still lacking some throw distance for fishing (30m+).

      • You're not going to find anything near 5000 lumens (let alone 10k lumens) for $50 (or even $100 for that matter). But something less bright but is a thrower (as opposed to having a floody beam) is probably what you're looking for.

  • BLF Q8 ? - you should buy a CFMEU Q*8 - more power.

    • Do you have a link? Can't seem to find that one

  • +1

I have one of the Zanflare F1s that I think I paid around $50 for and it's impressively bright.

    • That looks like a good portable one but only has 1000 lumens
