Can't beleive eBay doesn't put a stop to that kind of thing. I had the same issue with some Xiaomi Pistons earlier this year.
have a look in the search history, there was a local seller offering a very competitive price.

Anybody with the Mi Band 3 care to share how you find the band that comes with it? Is it secure? I found the band that came with my MB2 was not very secure and the band would come undone easily, I ended up getting a replacement band with a buckle for it.
I'm wondering if I'll need to do the same with the MB3?
I had the 2, and somehow, it came off, and I can't find it anymore. It's surely somewhere at home. The 3 is fine so far.
If it hasn’t been too long you could try using the find device function on the mi app to make it vibrate

Are any of the eBay listings legit? Some are around $40 and combined with a 5-10% code it brings the price down.

Shopro offers a decent price ($39.95) on local stock with fast shipping. They often have sales on here and I've picked up my last 3 for $35-36. Otherwise you can save a few dollars (probably less than $5) and wait a few weeks.
