Second this. Can you use them in store too? FC is generally too expensive unless you can do a price match.
I'm pretty sure they don't price match anymore. They got rid of their price beat by $1.
@MathNerd: The T&C's said that they only price match if the payment method is the same. I'm guessing if I try to price match with Jetstar flights using gift cards, they will say that the payment method is different and as such won't match.
I've got $600 of gift cards with Flight Centre.. but the flights I want are about $500 more through Flight Centre. Not worth it!
@lockmc: Hmm, that's strange. I've successfully price matched and paid with gift cards (did this as recent as last week Friday).
Try a different FC store (or even just ring up their main number). You really should be allowed to price match and pay with GCs.@MathNerd: @MathNerd - I haven't actually tried to price match yet, I just saw this in their T&C's and assumed they would use this as an out.
@MathNerd: I tried to price match against Webjet a few months ago and they gave me some spiel that HQ's new policy is to not price match anymore because of people like us. I showed them this page and they said they can't price match because they're providing after sales service (able to contact them for cancellations, changes), whereas the online sites didn't provide this service.
Maybe it was just that branch I was at… but I couldn't be bothered arguing and booked it online.
This page is also not linked from anywhere on their website - you can only find it through a google search.

They can be used in store. We accept gift cards with price matching, not sure what other store policies are.

Probably fortunate the way that mob works - wouldn't be surprised if they tell you that you have to purchase the $49 captain's pack to use the voucher, as they told me when requesting their price match.
The Iconic has sales all the time which are often 20% or more, so be careful on loading up on gift cards, cuz they don't stack with coupon codes for site discounts. Their system treats gift cards as coupon codes and you can only use 1 per order if I remember correctly.
Although you enter gift cards and coupon codes in the same place, you can actually stack the gift cards with coupon codes as their system distinguishes between them. The gift cards used become 'Credit' and then tied to your account so you're able to use a code on top of it which is considered separately as a 'Discount' - https://i.imgur.com/bcWj0r9.png
So no worries with purchasing the discounted gift cards :)
And I assume we don’t have to use these in one transaction? As with eBay gift cards it must be ‘tied’ to our accounts, to be used in several transactions?
Yeah, basically the same as eBay where you can use the credit over several transactions.

Yeah, that's why I love it when The Iconic gift cards are discounted. If you look at the image I linked, I used the save25 code along with the gift cards/credit and it works perfectly.

Give Paypal a ring on the support number, I had that issue and it was apparently just an identity verification thing. Easily fixed.
Anyone on Kogan Mobile/Vodafone find that paypal.com won't resolve (DNS)? So browsers can't find it?

AFAIK no they can't.

The Gift Card may only be redeemed via the Uber app or the UberEATS app and used within Australia in cities where Uber or UberEATS is available.

Sometimes Coles runs a promotion: extra 2000 fb pts (worth $10) for a $50 uber gift cardTrue, but if you are buying more than a $50 card, I think this is a great deal! Shame you can only buy one $50 card with coles to obtain the bonus.
Haven't seen many other way to save on Uber trips / Uber eats once you are an existing customer.

Can anyone see any negatives of loading up on Uber gift cards (apart from risk of losing it all if Uber folds?) Cards have 3 year expiry, seems like a no-brainer if you use uber at the moment regularly
