This is the sequel to the highly praised Pillars of Eternity which itself is the spiritual successor to the cult Baldur's Gate games.

If you buy this, be prepared to invest a significant amount of time. ;-)

Dunno that POE1 was highly praised IIRC. I think it was received as a "it was a fair effort lads, but we're off to play something else..something better"
