These things are absolute garbage. My kids love them but the 2 we’ve got so far don’t even hold together once built without glue

Spend $30 or more for cardboard crap. Where's the bargain.

Garbage promo. Spent $100 at one store and they had run out on day 2 of the promo. Told me i couldnt come back and collect later.
a few days later i spent another $60 at a different store, same deal. None in stock. Keep your junk Woolies.

Spent $100 at one store and they had run out on day 2 of the promo. Told me i couldnt come back and collect later.

I would have asked for refund and returned all the groceries.

      • Town Hall (Sydney) was OOS last Monday, so $125 spend, for nothing.
Meanwhile a home delivery order for about $190 came with 6 of the same reindeer.
Also, the 'tree' for hanging them on and which was free with your activated rewards card the previous week, but also OOS reappeared once the promo had finished so that it was only available by paying $3.
This 'promo' not well handled at all.

How is this a bargain ?

Free Xmas decorations on top of your TV

      • They're not free. They're built into the cost of the products you are buying.

        • +1

          no they're not

          • @Homr: have to agree with JV on this one. Promotional costs add to the cost of the product. Woollies would be hoping that the promotion will mean they don't have to discount sale items as much and people will impulse buy to reach the next $30 bracket.

            • +1

@mathew42: Can't agree with JV on this one. Have all product costs increased since the promotion started?

Simply put, they have a marketing budget which exists whatever happens. In this case, some of the budget is spent on this, instead of some other form of marketing. Prices don't change because of this.

              • @odysseus: To maintain the same profit margin, Woolworths had a choice: Discount goods by the cost of the promotion or run the promotion and not put as many items on sale.

      • Free advertising you mean.

I got one of these simply to test it out.

It doesn't even hold together!! When I took it off the table even, I picked up one half and the other half was just left there.

When you know you can't make something like Coles Little Shop but try anyway 😂

            @Homr:

            Location: Sydney

            • @pennypincher98: Visiting Sydney?

              • +1

@nightelves: If they were just visiting and really were American (hint: you don't put your location to Sydney just for a visit) then a little American flag would come up next to their name (ie when they upvote something)

This promo has been running for the last three weeks, and concludes at the end 8f this coming week.

Probably cost woolies 5 cents to make them. Make you spend 30$ to collect them

  • +1

Pretty sure these won't match Cole's efforts recently Woolies, gonna need to try a bit harder :)

    • +1

Think they were trying harder. Instead of using the plastic which everyone complained about they went with paper so more recyclable, less waste.

      1. This post is about Woolies, not Coles.
      2. If you were being served by a chicken, perhaps that was the first sign of trouble.
      3. You sound like a jerk for demanding something that you weren't entitled to.
      4. You probably should have made a scene, not science.

Next time buy a chocolate bar or packet of chips and stop annoying everyone else in the line who just want to pay for their purchases and leave.

You're the sort of people who keep our magistrates and bail justices employed.

Thank you for supporting local jobs.
