Hi guys,
I was googling for monitor deals and this site (technoforce) popped up. The monitors was super cheap and it almost seems too good to be true.
What do you guys think?

Seems legit, a phone number (not in right format though), a warehouse address, accepts paypal. Looks like a start up business run by Chinese.
Yeah iPhone xs max 64gb for $1099
Ok yeah maybe not
What the hell. Fake address, fake phone number, only accepts bank transfer. How isn't this a scam??
Also apparently the original company are now liquidated now? Honestly where do ozbargain finds all these scams.
Always newish accounts too
Wow, I thought it was too good to be true. Glad I didn't buy anything. Thanks for the heads up 👍
See Contact Us page with picture of building with Business Name on building.
Now compare it to picture 3 on Real Estate Website which shows same black car near doorway. (Without signage on building)
Honestly where do ozbargain finds all these scams.
They really have to go out of their way!
Oh crap. Is it legit?
No - the real estate agent has a photo of the building up for sale or lease, with black car in photo.
So how come same black car is in exactly same spot when photo of building when signage done?
Also details on real estate website would have been updated to show sale or lease.
the real estate pictures are an "artist rendition" of what the building will look like once it is completed.
the last photos from google earth -no date but 2018- shows 41 Aylesbury Drive Altona, VIC 3018 is still under construction
Yes. Mavic Air flymore combo for $966
That's $500 less then everywhere else. Suspicious… I'm going to call them tomorrow.
I know someone that tried to purchase an iPhone off this website and I've been trying to help them with this. It's 100000% a scam. A very sophisticated scam. They have a long registered ABN, an ANZ bank account which has been verified, and the guy running the business, "Courtney Luke" always answers the phone and emails and seems very professional and friendly. But hes a straight up dog and a shifty criminal and the deeper you look into this www.technoforce.com.au website things don't add up. Courtney first claimed that hes in Vic, but then after calling the real estate agent that manages the warehouse they operate from it didn't add up. Doing background IP checks on the website and domain everything leads to the USA. He then later "admitted" that hes in Florida in the USA but has a distribution warehouse in VIC. This is why his Australian phone number diverts to the US and its a static connection. When I asked about his funny accent (Asian) he said he was born and raised in Florida……
The way the scam works is you place an order through the website and everything seems legit (secure website, order number, confirmation email). But the next day you get an email from the business saying their payment system is down and they suggest to direct deposit the amount into their bank account to ensure the order isn't delayed.
When my friends called the number about the email, Courtney, explains that they're having technical issues with the website. He says if you want to wait for the system to get back online you can use PayPal or credit card later but if you do decide to direct deposit he can process right away. He apparently never pushed for direct deposit too much or came on too strong which is unlike other scams you hear about. But because everything seems right and his customer service seems helpful it gives you false reassurance.
Anyway as you can imagine, if you make that direct deposit payment, its gone. But funnily enough, the outstanding customer service continues. He answers the phone, chases up you order number, answers questions and acts genuinely surprised when you mention scams to him. But the next level effort comes from the tracking number he provides, which is links to a more obvious fake logistics website (www.greenzot.com). The company doesn't exist. The tracking number brings up all your info and says the item is shipping for USA but its all fake. We looked up the so called CEO of this logistics company and the identity of the guy turns up in the obituaries in USA and died years ago. The most priceless part of this investigative journey was when I told Courtney that he is a scam artist and we will report him to the police and he had the balls to call me a criminal and say that I'm trying to scam him!
We have told all this to the bank and reported to the cyber crime police but at this stage I don't see any hope of my friend recovering their money. The world can be a cruel place.
Technoforce = Bad. I hope other people see this and it can prevent them being scammed by this bastard.
Wow that was very interesting.
Hey guys,
I have, stupidly and unfortunately, been scammed by this company. Regardless, I have done the following so far in order to fight back and hopefully get my money back:
1- Called my bank and started a trace and recovery
2- Created a scamwatch entry about technoforce
3- Reported them to ACORN.gov.au
4- I am annoying the hell out of his sms even though he doesn't respond.
If everyone here who was scammed also reports this to scamwatch and ACORN, then we may be able to shut this guy down and hopefully get something back.
Good luck!
2+3. Scamwatch and ACORN don't really do much. Just take reports. They might pass it onto the police, but I doubt it. I've reported lots of scammers and they are still scamming. Our government just wants you to think they are doing something to stop the scammers.
4. He has probably blocked your number, unless you're spoofing and changing your number?
I've tried ringing him, but he hasn't answered yet.
You could try emailing the Registrar which is found on the Whois at [email protected] to try and get the site taken down. They won't help with recovering any money though. I find that most Registrars don't take any action as they receive money from the scammers for keeping the scam site up. Godaddy is the worst, they side with the scammers all the time.
I contacted their Registrar via email and the Registrar replied and gave me this link https://publicdomainregistry.com/report-abuse-complain/ to fill out. Seems like I'm been given the run-a-round. I filled it out, but suspect they won't do anything.
Hi charbeltadros
I got scammed as well, around early of December this year. I rang my bank and ANZ. ANZ said its' up to my bank to recover the money. I also reported to ACCC, Consumer Protection Agencies and will report to the police.
It's wrong that he/she can open an Australian bank account to commit his crime, fraudulently obtains the money and keep them in an Aussie bank account and the bank refuses to do anything. Even we the victims voluntarily transfer the monies, but his business is a fraud , goods that have never been delivered. i transfer the money as its has Aussie bank account, not oversea account that the authorities have no control over.
We can , i think contact our local TVs/ newspaper agencies and report this fraud to prevent more people get scammed by this bastard.
if you would like to go with this option, please feel free to let me know.
We lost the monies , but we can prevent other people losing more monies.
Have a great weekend.
I bet if these scammers stole money from the government or banks they would have him in prison already and their money back.
Hey again!
Thank you for all the support. I haven't gotten my money yet, but I did get an admission from him that he is a scammer. Took it to the police, but to no avail yet. Meanwhile, I am subscribing him to every sms list I can find. On the other hand, I noticed today that his website is down. Is it the same for you guys or has he just blocked my IP?
http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/technoforce.com.au.html proves that website is down. But I suspect he is operating these two other scam sites: https://idealgadget.com.au and https://floratec.com.au that are still up and running.
Got contacted by the Victoria Police a week ago. They are investigating the matter. Hope we get somewhere.
