Of course you'll need to full game once it comes out to use it, but you can get the DLC for free before release.

It is actually meant to be a pre-order bonus, but you can add it to your account even without actually pre-ordering the full game.

  Carcassonne is a wonderful board game filled with interesting decisions. It involves planning, risk, and balancing cooperation with making tactical moves that benefit you at the expense of other players. The 'draw a tile and place' mechanic works particularly well as an online game.

  That base game is enjoyable enough though both the 'Inns and Cathedrals' and 'Traders and Builders' expansions provide interesting variations to the gameplay.

  That said the visual presentation here is thoroughly terrible. The oversaturated colours lack the charm of the original cardboard artwork and make it difficult to assess the position of player pieces at a glance. If you own an iPhone or iPad you're much better off purchasing the vastly superior iOS/App Store port by TheCodingMonkeys; probably the best digital adaptation of a board game ever made.

  This game along with Rocket Riot and 3D Ultra Minigolf on the Xbox Live Arcade made some of the most fun, halarious and tense moments of my childhood.

  Excellent. Can't wait. Picked up Civ 6 the other day too. I had it on the iPhone but its just to small to be poking around on. The 7" screen on the Switch, or on the big TV screen is MUCH more enjoyable. Recommend!
