AMEX points change - where to transfer?

hi

Got a letter from AMEX saying their points redemption going to change in April.

From April all redemption worth $100 will cost 20,000 points
Right now if you buy a flight on AMEX travel each $100 costs only 10,000 points , so points going to half come April.

So I need to spend the points or transfer before April.

Does anyone know where best to transfer ?

I might do an overseas trip next year but not sure, would like to buy a new TV so maybe JB or HN gift card but maybe I should transfer to an airlines for max value for when I do travel?

    You will always get more value transferring to a airline but if you don't travel then other options are prob beat. If you have the amex platinim charge they are offering to double your reward points as they are on the day before the change so effectively maintaining their value. Got letters for the Platinum edge and reserve where that offer was not made.

    depends what your end goal is and WHO you want to fly with

    for me i want krisflyer, so im transferring half to krisflyer before deval in Jan, and half to velocity (i did this last week during 15% bonus period)

      Huh? the Amex to Krisflyer deval is only happening in April 19 though.
