Anti-Odour Packing Cell x 2 for $40 at Katmandu (RRP $99.96)

80

First time deal posting, sorry for any errors.

I've started using packing cells in my luggage recently and can honestly say they are great, way better than I expected.

These Katmandu packing cells in particular are advertised at $49.99 each, but you can currently pick 2 up for $40!

A variety of their other packing cells are also available either in 3 for $40 or 2 for $40 bundles, but this anti-odour cell appears to be the best value in terms of discount %, size and of course the anti-odour qualities.

Website says not available to buy online but then also prompts you to add to cart to receive the discount??? I bought them in store (Brisbane) so cannot confirm if the online will work, however I did just test by adding to cart and the discount automatically applied at checkout.

Enjoy your more organised travelling!

Ive started using packing cells too. It’s great. I buy mine from Daiso. Comes in various sizes and types and only $2.80 each

    • Yes, I must say even at the discounted price these are more expensive than a lot of other packing cells. From initial review however they do appear to be of higher quality and I am very interested to see how they go with wet/smelly clothes!

I was about to write exactly the same thing. The daiso ones are great.
they are slightly see through and keep everything separate. I looked at the kathmandu ones. They are indeed better quality, but I travel about twice a year so Daiso is fine.

    • I use washing machine bags, generally the Aldi ones.

I don't understand why this product exists? How does this product differ from using a garbage bag?
Garbage bags are lighter, are available as scented and/or odor neutralizing, weigh less and are cheaper.

I held a very similar sentiment until I bought a set of packing cells on eBay.

Packing cells form bricks in your suitcase that you can easily pack and organise. Also great when you reach your hotel, as you can unpack in about 5 seconds, just pop the cells in the drawers!

Plastic bags don't really hold a particular shape and offer a bit less utility than the cells.

Used to use packing cells - no longer do.
Seemed like a good idea when I first started travelling. I took too much! Packing cells, like taking large luggage - just want to be filled😱

Bought a set of Kathmandu ones when I started travelling 9 months a year for years overseas.

Since then I've simply reduced amount I travel with. Much less need to sort gear out into cells. Taking less, it's much easier to find what you're looking for - a major reason for buying packing cells.

Travelling lighter has great advantages. Lots written about it.

Now travel shorter holidays to get to know a region, taking just what I need for the season. Pick up many basics & sometimes clothes in the country & give gear away to needy on departure.

Larger zip-lock or press-seal bags are handy, weigh almost nothing compared to cells, & so much cheaper.
Just back from 4 week holiday using 255x355mm ones from OfficeWorks deal - takes a folded shirt or 2 t-shirts per bag. Simply slide them out of small carry-on bag, drop in drawer etc. Prioritise them by ones first needed on arrival on top. The small bag (day pack later used for exploring - free of course) is effectively a larger packing cell, with different compartments. And the plastic bags are handy to store clothes awaiting washing - sealed. Multiple uses for travel items is very handy.

It's all in how you think about travel. And your particular requirements. Travel long enough & you can learn a few tricks.

        • Washing bags work a treat too. And are multipurpose!

They don't sell Kathmandu branded Garbage bags!

    :-)

…and garbage bags wouldn't look as good on travel bloggers' instagram feed.

  • This deal doesn't stink.

  • I couldn't add to cart.
