He is playing minecraft on iPad. I have spent ages trying to find out what he needs to do, it’s way over my head.
I have installed plug for minecraft from the App Store & still can’t see what I am supposed to do!
Also what else can he do using the plug in app? Please help us.
Pocket Edition actually supports mods, but they have to be made specifically for PE mod launcher.

Thanks so much for the link. I have got way further than before, Behaviour and Resource packs are now downloaded but it still says ‘missing a dependancy’
Thanks Highanddry, he has seen it on a YouTube video but imagine they are playing on a console.
Sorry, it's been years since I've even had it installed, and yeah - most likely those Youtubers are playing on consoles or on the PC where it's easier to mod the game.

Com'on! OP is asking for their 6 yr old! Even I feel a little empathy here (which says something lol). And Minecraft is so complicated nowadays because it's very customizable and OP was asking about something that's added via a mod too.
So if their kid is 6 years old, its safe to presume that the OP is probably not 70 years old.
Hahahah you don't have to be 70 to be confused by this stuff - I used play the game, from when it was in Alpha, and even I found the modding scene to be crazily confusing, even when it was limited to just PC. Now it's on PC, consoles, iPads, etc - I wouldn't want to touch it with a 10ft pole lol.

Yes I did try google in the first instance, I I didn’t understand the instructions on the you tube videos I found. I don’t understand the instructions in the app I have downloaded. I don’t game or play minecraft it could be written in a foreign language. google led me to believe that the plug for minecraft app would allow me to add mods. I can’t see anything for mods on the app only for joining others live. Sorry I am out of my depth here.

But it's (apparently) a mod, and I'm fairly sure you can't mod games on iPad. Where did you see it anyway?
