  • Some interesting reviews, not surprisingly one mentioning heat as I'd expect.

And obviously the claimed speeds are usually BS anyway.

  • Really slow write speeds. Doesn't feel like a usb 3 device at all. Cheap and compact though

  • Good for a music collection plugged into a router's usb port and served via DLNA. But for this money you might as well get a microSD with adapter, or better still an SSD.

  • +1

never ever plug these into usb 3 only usb 2 (and even then only write small amounts of data at a time) These things get too hot to touch if copying data or even intensive reads. I have 2 i had to send back of the last ones that were usb 3 and then another of this gen due to literally them frying themselves…

  • Agree, I got 128g 64gb and 32gb of these and they all suffer from heat issues and transfer speed comes to a crawling stop every few seconds. Contacted Sandisk about it and they didn't give a crap. They must know these have issues by now.

Waiting to try the Samsung fit models but the higher capacity ones are always out of stock.

  • The link is taking me to $74.99 sold by KM TECH. "Other Sellers" includes $69.35 + $7.88 Delivery Sold by: Amazon US. I guess that means this has expired?

    • Probably, also happens when items get sold out.
