[Russia] Who’s at Fault? Truck Hits Stationary Vehicle Who Tried to Turn into His Lane

So a car was turning into the lane right in front of a truck, traffic was stationary so the car stopped halfway into the lane.

As the car was really close to the truck, the truck driver could not see and hit the stationary car halfway into his lane.

Who is at fault?

Was in Russia but just wondering if this happens in Australia..

You should not even consider posting such a thread without an MS Paint diagram.

      There’s a video

Is it an animation made from MS Paint diagrams?

The car, obviously. The truck had right of way.

No such thing as “right of way” under Australian Road Rules. Only the obligation to give way.

But yes, car had an obligation to give way to the truck, especially approaching from the blind side of the truck.

      • Car driver made an unsafe lane change.

how would the truck see the car has moved in front of him?

Vehicle turning vs vehicle going straight. Fault is all with the turning vehicle.

OP, did you miss traffic accident threads so much you went to Russia to look for content?

      No browsing through liveleak

But a nice unnecessary addition there mate

There are no road rules in Russia. Driving in Russia is like Russian Roulette.

    • So true.

Got a transfer to and from our hotel to the airports. That shit makes you grab the door handles and push the passenger side imaginary brakes.

What is playing roulette in Russia like?
