You probably wrote 51 words.
I agree, waste of time.
Good that you have confirmed this to be 100% true.Totally agree.
You made my day. Hehe
But seriously I've always stayed away from these because of the lack of transparency of how these "judges" make their decision.I wonder if anyone has won a prize yet through the competition section here at ozbgn
What kind of transparency do you wish for?
I don’t like creative comps either. Only cause most are sob stories!
Even though I’ve won a few creative comps worth about 5k! All in the past few months.
I find creative comps and purchase comps not many people enter them!that 's what I'm gonna enter the comp with now
Are you referring to any 25 (or however many) words or less competitions or just ones listed as "creative" or "original".
That’s because for the most part, most of these are still a lucky draw, but by claiming it is a ‘game of skill’ the company doesn’t need to apply (and in some cases pay) the government for a lottery license.
And there's no way to tell one way or another?
i better win i put " i want a gift for my brother"
I also put "i want a gift for my brother"
shit we'll have to share the prize you take odd weeks ill have even :D
if someone else put that we're screwed

Already screwed….
Welp, there goes that slim chance of winning…
Hmm, just tried to enter. 25 words exactly, nothing using apostrophes or hyphens and it chucks up error of too many words?!?!
I have had these kind of entries be rejected for the same reason before and just removing the full stop at the end of my entry was enough to get it through.
Other times I have had to get it down to like 15 words because whoever coded the entry form made a mistake somewhere and it was using a character limit but saying word limit.Ironically I also tried a 24 word entry but that didn't work either. Went back to my 25 word version, removed the full stop at end like you suggested and it friggin well went through?! Crazy word count logic or what?
One entry per calendar month per person is permitted.
Pretty sure i entered in late November. Now trying to enter again but it's telling me: "The email has already been taken."
Anybody else having this problem that has entered last month?
Do you have history on your browser to check? Checked mine which was on 2nd so still have few weeks to wait. Must set a reminder! :)
Nah, I have a habit of clearing history when closing the browser. Will just wait until January. Thanks for the suggestion though.
I LOVE WOL comps don't know how people rely/keep going on lucky draw/purchase
I avoid these "best creative entries" win type competitions.
The first I ever entered which was 10 years ago, I wrote a 50 word beautiful essay in answer to "why do you want to win this product".
Winner's entry was published and it was "I want a gift for my brother".
F** that.
