Lockwood 219/40 Laminated Padlock: Single for $5, 4-Pack for $15 @ Bunnings

130

Was looking around Bunnings for some other stuff and came across these new padlocks from Lockwood. They are a laminated padlock with a plastic case on them, giving them a little more weather resistance to them. For $5 each and being a Lockwood product, they are hard to go past if you just want to lock up a side gate, cheap bike or a shed with little value.

Now, these are NOT high security locks, but they are way better than the alternative Masterlock branded crap that is more expensive than these. They have a more secure ball lock and cant be shimmed open. The choice between a cheap Lockwood and a cheap Masterlock should be a no brainer…

At this price they are a deal, as the equivalent in many other, far inferior, brands cost more than this. The same lock from Lockwood without the plastic case (ie: 119 series) is double the cost.

I know this isn’t OzRRP, but the woman at the front counter said that this was the promotional/introductory price listed on her system and not the final price. It may stay the same, go up, or down after the promotion ends. And being Lockwood, I cant see them coming down in price.

I bought the colour pack for 15 about 2 months ago. So it's a normal price.

As far as I know Lockwood products can only lock wood, not side gates, cheap bikes or sheds. :-P

    • What if the side gate, bike and shed were also made of wood?

I think the real question here is…

How much wood could a Lockwood lock, if a Lockwood could lock wood?

  • Locks only keep out honest people… And spanners let dishonest ones in 😂
