Cashrewards, Tightarse and Virgin Australia, everything makes sense now.

  • I booked my flight literally an hour ago … :(

    • Booked mine last night… :(

  • Cashrewards doesn't seem to track when u use a virgin 10% discount code

    • Stated in the t&c

Cashback may not be paid if a coupon code is used that is not listed on Cashrewards.

      • +1

Yes which means its not as good as using a code to save 10% off. Costs more woth cashrewards and u have to wait for at least 3 months after the flight dates to get the lousy cashback

    • I stacked with 5% code and worked

  • +2

This code is only useful if you are travelling within the next 20 days. Otherwise a 10% off coupon code is more beneficial.

The cashback will not be paid if a discount coupon has been used (speaking from past experience).

  • I like how Virgin considers NZ a "domestic" flight.

4x Cashback extended to 10PM AEDT tonight, then drops to 3.2% & 2.1% (3x) until 11:55PM AEDT tomorrow. Happy Sunday all :)

    • It says there is a ‘37% of sale’ on the CW website.

I cannot see this sale on VAs site.

      • It actually says ‘up to 37% off’. If you click the Shop Now button from the offer, you’ll be redirected to the sale. The offer link will stop working at 10PM.

        • Thanks

When you advertise a % off they need to show and before and after price.

I’m aware of one big box retailer who has been warned multiple times about this before they are fined.

  • For whatsort of flights virgin australia good for? In all the flight search websites (skyscanner, expedia, auntbetty, google flights, etc..) its either never shows up or found in the last results as the most expensive flights ever…

Domestic flights and their BNE-LAX flight.

This is dodgy, I wouldn't recommend signing up to cash rewards.

I just did, and firstly it demanded I disable ad blocker, so I did that and then after clicking "shop now" button on the VA special offer page, it takes me to some unrelated black friday page: https://specials.virginaustralia.com/au/sale/blackfriday

with unrelated flights on it, not domestic. What a waste of time. Terrible UX. I will be definitely deleting cookies and re-enabling ad blocker after touching this cashrewards rubbish.

    • firstly it demanded I disable ad blocker,

That's so your clicks will track, nothing dodgy about it.

Dodgy??? The page you're being redirected to is Virgin's sale !!! Besides, the deal also includes international because you know … Virgin just aren't a domestic carrier, so that's not dodgy either.

    • the meltdown over nothing
