Pretty good deal at JB Hifi. Good stock levels too. Even better at Bunnings: Tricky deal to get but if you fight it you can get it.
Bunnings website claims to have an up to date pricing, stating "price accurate as of…" When hoping to claim price beat on these from JB my local Bunnings (Alexandria) had already put it in their system at 71.10 - 10c cheaper than JB. However none of their advertised prices gave me this information.
So I argued that I had come into Bunnings on good faith to buy according to their policy based on the only information I had - the website (at ~$74) and their shelf price which was still $89… Given that the website itself said the price was accurate as of X time, there was nowhere for the supervisor to go in the "well the website isn't updated in real time" offer of an explanation.
So the deal was accepted. Here's proof. Have a crack!
For what it's worth, she let it go maybe a bit easier because I was buying two. If you're buying more, I wouldn't expect approval to be successful…
