Get a bottle and refill it

    • +4

Or add sugar and call it soft drink and suddenly no one cares about wasting plastic anymore.

      • drinks mt franklin after 20 years past best before date

        Yep, it’s still water

        • +1

Hope you enjoy those melting micro plastics.

      • Why?

      • Mmm love me some plastic flavoured water

  • +2

    Gift wrap is available…. ;-)

    and…..Cashrewards…

    • Thanks, edited.

  • I bought 2x to take advantage of my prime trial and I don't even drink bottled water

  • -8

20 x single use plastic bottles for $5.50… no bargain.

    • -3

I don't even recycle the bottles. I'd rather take a stand and pollute until they scrap the 10c refund idea.

      • -1

Shocking attitude. Don't even know why I bother on here sometimes.

        • +3

          It’s ok, random internet person.

  • This water tastes quite bad and is acidic compared to other bottles. I bought one of these packs the other day and deiced to get Aqua to go from office works because we have one of their coolers and its much better.

    • The water tastes okay but the lip of the bottle definitely has a lemon or acidic taste. Not sure if intentional or….

    • Aqua to go is so good even at room temperature. Idk why though.

  • +1

Can I get 10 C back per bottle?

  • No deal. Bottled water costs ~1 cent per litre.

    • Link?

      • Oops! Meant tap water!

        • Oh, damn.

  • Thanks op. Ordered 3 for Christmas camping

  • +5

Regardless of what people think about the product this Price is a bargain compared to retail price

Does it say what the expiry date is?

Wanting to store in my bunker

        Yep, any day now.

      "Bugout in your dugout"

    • It's water, it doesn't need an expiry date.

      • Bottled water has an expiry

        • Just because it has one doesn't mean it needs one.

          • @spaceflight: Ah, I’m pretty sure it does.

But enjoy your high levels of estregen & toxins from your expired water bottles.

            Good job

            • @stickymoo:

              Source?

But enjoy your high levels of estregen & toxins from your expired water bottles.

The expiry date on a water bottle has nothing to do with leeching.

And you know what? these bottles are made from PET and there's no BPA in PET plastics.

Not that it really matters because even if the bottle contained BPA you'd need to let one sit for 145 years to get to the lowest threshold of toxicological concern for your daily BPA intake.

Supporting an unneeded $200 billion+ industry
              Good job

At least I have educated myself rather than get scared from mass hysteria.

              • @spaceflight: You’re educated?

You should be concerned with constant exposure & gradual build up.
Plastic bottles, which are not essential or necessary. Just add to the issue of already too much exposure in our day to day lives.

You do understand how minute the difference in estrogen levels between males & females is.

How easy it is to turn the dial just enough, which results in unhealthy levels of estrogen for both males & females.

It’s not just BPA & PET you need to be worried about with plastic bottles. But PET & BPA should also be a concern.

I’m not scared. Just a little more educated on the topic.

                • @stickymoo:

You should be concerned with constant exposure & gradual build up.

Sure that's a thing, but buying 20 PET water bottles isn't going to kill anyone any faster.

Plus BPA is rapidly excreted and it doesn’t build-up inside us over time.

We live in a country where our power comes from coal and our transportation burns fossil fuels. One of the best health choices you can make is not breathing, second would be breathing purified air 24*7

But PET & BPA should also be a concern.

PET is inert and the levels of BPA in a polycarbonate bottle are negligible. The amount that transfers into what's in a bottle are even less.

You'd have to try ridiculously hard to get to the lowest daily TTC level. And that's only a level of concern, not confirmed adverse reactions.

                  • @spaceflight: Hey, you’re in the 90% that believe it’s a healthy alternative. Which I guess it is when comparing to nearly everything else.

More bottled water is sold than soft drink. It’s big business. Plenty of reason to sway public opinion. Fund some scientific journals, reports, studies etc.

that’s not to say that there isn’t a lot more peer-reviewed, independent, scientific studies that state the undeniable health concerns relating to plastic bottles.

Keep drinking from the kool-aid. I mean, bottled water.

  • Bought 10! Thank OP, perfect for xmas time :) Comes in at $0.1475c a bottle after CR and recycling!

  • +1

"Usually dispatched between 1 to 3 weeks"

    • @lovedeals bought all of them!

It is $6.5 at Woolies NSW at the moment.

  • +7

Don't buy bottled water, so was curious to see what this normally sells for and it's currently $5.50 at woolies too.

    • +1

      The ozbargain effect

I’m pretty sure aldi has cheaper. If you are just looking for water in a bottle. I think they have mt franklin now as well.

    • It's $7(Woolworths Online) in NSW :(

    • no cashback tho

      • +2

Woolies gift card tho, rewards points tho, contributes to my $30 shopping and thus 4c off petrol tho. But fair point

        • Not $5.50 in nsw tho bro cuz

        • +3

Got to drive there tho. Wear ‘n’ tear & fuel tho.

Or worse, public transporting 10x cases of water, if you don’t have a car & buy 10x cases like lovedeals did.

Wasted exerted calories tho which means you have to buy more food.

          • @stickymoo: Who goes makes a seperate trip just for water? Silly people.

Most will just do it as a matter of weekly shop. So no marginal wear and tear, almost nothing extra in fuel.

And I know people who live off PT, none of them stock on bottles of water coz it’s simply not feasible. Yes with amazon they can get a weeks worth, but after the sale, what? They go back to tap. They will just stick to tap. So I don’t believe the argument that people who rely solely on PT for bottle water will switch to this.

            • @cloudy: I wouldn’t find it odd @ all if someone went to the grocery store with the main driving factor being water.

It would make more sense then chocolate & ice cream.

Most humans, even today. Go to great lengths to procure water. A separate trip in a car, down the road, to a store. Just for water would be a miracle. For most that is.

I forgot to mention on road costs too.

              • @stickymoo:

It would make more sense then chocolate & ice cream.

Maybe if they are unlucky and only had taps that dispensed chocolate and ice cream.

For most of us that have taps which dispense clean water driving to the store just to buy bottled water makes no sense.

Ozbargain is jut ozAmazon now. It’s doesn’t even have to be the cheapest anymore as long as Amazon sells it we upvote like sheep

      • +1

Eh I mean if its the same price at woolies I'm rather get it shipped free with prime plus cash back

        • I'd rather pick it up and I'll do so in the case of this deal when a similar price comes to Coles/Woolworths. Can't imagine the logistics of shipping multiple of these things.

      • +1

So, considering the Cashrewards factor, you’re saying you know where we can get it cheaper, delivered to your door? Please do share as I want to stock up, thanks.

        • Delivered to door or will you end up making a seperate trip to the post office lol, I know where most people will end up.

          • @cloudy: I’ve ordered a tonne of stuff from Amazon, including 6 packs of these bottled waters on the last deal without issue. I live on an incline with a nice set of stairs to the front of my house, so well worth it for me.

  • +7

After discarding these bottles in the mangroves I'll shoot an elephant and selfie it

    • Make sure you drink them using plastic straws.

  • To those complaining about bottles, just burn them in the backyard.

    • +2

Or if fire season has kicked in, your neighbour's back yard.

    • +2

Make sure you stand really close while it’s burning so you can breathe it in too. Make it family time & sit around the fire.

      • homfgggggg the legend, the Broden is here.

      • Any deal on marshmallows?

  • I drink on Puratap.

  • I feel bad for the postman/courier who has to lug these things around

    • +1

No worries. They'll leave a pick up card notice the moment they step out of their van.

      • Step out of the van? That would involve stepping out of the van! Best you can hope for is a pickup card being frisbeed onto the footpath somewhere in the vicinity of your front yard.

    • 10kg isn't very much.

    • It’s their job…..

  • Woolies and coles always have $6 for 24x600ml bottles of generic water, great for camping/hiking.

    • Generic water!? If I wanted generic water I'd turn on the tap!

      • +1

I only drink Dorf tap water

        • Do you realise 'Dorf' is just 'Ford' rearranged?

          • @dm01: Is that why my tap sounds like a race track?

        • I prefer Methven water myself.
