Hey Guys,
So I recently bought myself a UHD, 4K, Samsung 8000 series, 75inch TV. I'd like to find out how people get their 4K content.
I have upgraded my Netflix account to UHD/4K content, but I'm not sure how to find content. I've randomly come across content in 4K such as Blue PlanetII, but if anyone knows how to find a list of content in 4K, ID appreciate the heads up.
I know Foxtel has a 4K channel, but I have no interest in that.
I have seen on ozbargain some Blu-ray discs which also say UHD/4K at the top. Will these play on a regular Blu-ray player, or does it need to be UHD/4K enabled? I'm familiar with torrents and I've had an Android TV box for several years and I am very familiar with Kodi, Terrarium TV, Tea TV etc, plus I have a VPN, so if anyone can suggest how to get 4K content via any of these, I'm all ears.
You can buy/rent 4K movies through Vudu, Wallmarts video service, but it's not available outside the US. Does anyone know if Google Play Movies or any other streaming services available in Oz offer 4K content to buy/rent? I'm also looking for a site that shows movie previews in 4K.
Thanks in advance.
Youtube has heaps of 4K content, Netflix has a bit, your aforementioned Foxtel channel 444 has it, and yes, to play 4k content on 4k blurays, you'll need a 4k bluray player. I'd recommend an Xbox One X, as it allows for 4k blu rays (which I personally find a pain in the ass, the load times are stupid) and 4k games.
