Sony 4K 60" X8300 - Any Good?

Hello ozbargainer,
Sony has this TV for special on their black friday sale.
It is a decent price (i think), especially the unit has Motionflow 800 (Refresh rate 100hz), and specs similar to x8500, but no one has mentioned anything about this tv.

So, I thought I post it in the forum to ask if anyone has feedback about this unit.
Is this good unit for movie and gaming?
Should I wait for another time for better bargain? (Ideally I want x9000, but I cannot justify the price for $2000+)

Price: $1349, before 9% cashback through Cashrewards and AMEX.

    I have the same questions.
    Went to costco today and saw this TV was discounted by $300 and was listed at $1349.99 after discounts. Sony website has the same price discount on their site, which is even better as it offers free shipping (I wouldn't be able to fit this big tv in my small hatch back :))

    Yea I am looking at same TV.
    Weird how X83 has better specs than X85 (Direct LED vs Ede LED in most models), but it starts at a cheaper price point. In fact 55” x85 is same price as 60” x83. Something is missing, can anyone help us out?

      one is ips type panel and other is va type panel
