Buying Something from New Zealand

So I'm planning on ordering something valued at AUD$1.5k (that's how much I'll be paying for it including shipping) from NZ.
Does it mean the $1k import limit still applies even though we're in CERTA?

    I believe you will be charged the tax as it is a GST and not a customs levy or duty fee.
    someone correct me if i'm wrong

    You don't pay GST on the shipping cost as far as I understand.

    GST is applicable to Value of Goods + Custom Duties + Any other Duties/Tariffs.

    could be possible to pay 0% GST in NZ (ie, 15% reduced price) if the goods are for export (note this is not a travelers refund system as Aus has).
