270

I've posted a similiar such sale in Sept 10, and its on again.

Buy 4 Goodyear Tyres, only pay for 3. Only from Goodyear Autocare.

NB - the price varies somewhat between stores.

This time it doesn't explicitly exclude the F1 Assymetrics :-)

Fine Print:
Offer ends Thursday 21st April 2011 or while stocks last at participating Goodyear Autocare stores. 4 Goodyear tyres must be on the one invoice to qualify. Applies to Goodyear branded passenger, 4WD and light truck tyres. Excludes Goodyear Run On Flats. Must be bought and fitted at Goodyear Autocare. Normal service and fitting charges apply on all 4 tyres. Offer excludes fleet, commercial and account customers. Not available with any other offer.

see JV i don't mind literal humour - many comedy shows do very well using it eg mork and mindy to the current big bang theory. Its just that you're not funny. nothng personal, its not you, its your humour

        humour is subjective…

      • I actually find jv funnier than most on here, and considering his upvotes and your downvotes, I'd say I'm not the only one.

        Care to try again?

I got Eagle F1 Asymmetrics fitted last time this sale was on. Pretty tidy savings when you're paying $400+/corner.
Call around. Not everyone has the same prices and you could save lots (up to $100 per tyre). In fact, last time the sale was on, my tyres were excluded but I found a few shops that bent the rules.

    • Me too :-)

  • Is a nice find. Have used this a couple times in the past when buying. Worthy saving.

  • Decent deal just replaced one, might get the other 3 done

  • I have two cars, can I get the deal if I replace the two front tyres on both?

    • As long as the tyres are all bought on the same receipt.

      • thanks, actually I believe BridgeStone tyres are better value.

    • Normal service and fitting charges apply on all 4 tyres.

not sure if the above caveat cancels the savings… if the savings of the 4th free tire goes to the above charges.. then whats the difference between heading to say kmart tyres which has free tyre services/balance/etc when you buy 4 anyway?

  • upgrade your rear swaybar; it drastically improves tyre wear and grip!

  • $@#%$%^!, I have just replaced all four last week, a + anyways

  • no one is actually suggesting how much they have spent on the tyres. I am going to find out for my car, stay tune:)

During the last sale, most places were selling the F1 Assymetrics 225/45R17 for about $1600 a set, with the sale it was $1200 fitted.

But before I get posts saying how expensive it is, these tyres are performance tyres. I'm sure Goodyear sells many cheaper models, but that's not what I was personally looking for. There will always be an even cheaper tyre of unknown quality / performance.

But if you had your heart set on a decent set, this sale could be useful

Anyone know how good the prices are in the Goodyear store? There's no point paying 75% for tyres that cost more than 25% above what other stores sell (well to be precise mathematically, 33% above).

pretty cheap man. i always get my tyres from goodyear. owners will beat quotes too ;)

    • They are within the ball park normally. There are a handful of places which grey import a small selection of tyres (so you can't compare with them).

But if you get the 25% off, its no comparison

Goodyear make many tyres, as do every tyre manufacturer. They are definitely not equal. If you actually care about performance / safety, do your research, find a suitable tyre and then shop for the best price of a particular model.
Remember, it's just those four tiny squares of rubber holding your 1.5 tonne car on the road when you're travelling at speed. Rubber compound and tread pattern can be the difference between life and death (or beating that other boy racer around the corner)
