Anyone else getting sluggish/slow load times for OzBargain pages all of a sudden?
Every other site I go to (local and US) is blazing fast… but not OzBargain.
Mods, hows capacity for big days like this? Does Black Friday test the limits?

It was slowly near midnight but its at full speed again now.

Past 8:30PM last night we had around double the usual traffic and it looks like we might get more traffic again. I'll try to make sure the servers stay alive today.
Thanks Scotty. I can appreciate your servers are getting smashed for Black Friday. Seems to be working fine now, but was reeaaaallly slow last night around midnight.
Slow down is usually caused by database lock up, which is usually caused by rogue queries. There are quite a few bad queries due to feature creep (you guys have been asking too much :) and unfortunately those won't be easily resolved by just "moving to a bigger server".
At 8:30am we are already at the same traffic level as last night.

I got a OzBargain is broken and backend will be restarted very soon message at one point.
@sss333: Wow. I usually get that when i 'open all old ozb bookmarks' and the browser opens 50 tabs at once.

I think today must be a record for number of listings.
Site a little sluggish occasionally but I haven't noticed anything long term.
Mods must be all hands on deck today.
