This isn't really a bargain, but I think enough people have heard about this overseas to be interested in it. I got this in an email (I don't even remember subscribing, but hey!):

One hell of a dodgy link for a newsletter, so if you're not comfortable clicking on that it basically says: The KFC Double Down is coming to Australia on this Wednesday (under the name "The Double"). But you can ask for it in store on Tuesday and they'll make it to order, though no indication to whether its free or not.

And for those unfamiliar with the Double Down… Google it. :)

    Does anyone think we're missing out on something here? I recall the US reviews of the Double Down going on about how great its 'Colonel's Special Sauce' was, but down here we just get BBQ sauce.

    I did try it and it doesn't seem like anything special. Tastes exactly how you'd expect two pieces of fillet chicken, bacon, cheese and BBQ sauce would - like chicken, with BBQ sauce. Meh. :(

        yep..the bbq one is a bad excuse of a man-filler.

        the zinger is almost perfect but I feel something is missing (no pun intended haha)

    Disappointed after trying this.

    $7.95 for something that was half the size I expected was pretty disappointing.

    You need 2 to fill you up…

    haha did anyone see all the oil collected at the bottom of the paper after they'd finish? it's something you try once and hopefully never again

    In terms of 'pure death', I think this monstrosity of a burger might have the Double Down outdone:

    The OMG Double Double burger, from independent Brisbane fast-food outlet Chompers, contains two meat patties, two slices of cheese, bacon and lettuce sandwiched between two Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
