Free 1 Months Supply of Air Optix Contact Lenses for Every 3 months Ordered ($60)

20

We have another special. This time for Air Optix Monthly contact lenses. These are one of the most comfortable monthly wear contact lenses available today. They use a special Aqua moisture system to keep your eyes lubricated each time you blink and are very breathable. For the next week, you will receive 1 month free for every 3 months ordered (2 boxes). Delivery fee is $8 but remember if you 'like' us on facebook the fee will be waived.

Please note. When you make the order the lenses will not show up in the cart page. By default, all Air optix orders we receive will have the free lenses included.

We'd like to thank everybody for the great support we've had from the Ozbargain community.

  • yay!
    finally my lenses!

just a small request though. Last time you guys were awesome enough to give me some freebies even though it wasn't my lenses that were on your special. But you shipped them just as loose lenses in an envelope. Both those loose lenses caused me eye pain from the moment I put them in and had to be thrown out. So can I ask that tyou make sure the extras are in a box, not loose?

  • Hi Salem,

We only have the freebies as loose lenses however they should not be any different to the lenses found in the boxes. The only difference is the packaging. I'm happy to send you some extra freebies to replace the ones you had to throw out last time. Once you've made your order please email us on [email protected] and I'll include extra lenses on top of the free ones you're already getting.

    • Yeah I think the packaging was the problem. The ones I got were all battered from the post, and I think they have either been left in the sun or had their seals compromised. I suspect any more sent loose in only a standard letter envelope would suffer the same fate. If they were in a box, or a padded envelope, then they should be ok.

      • +1

Not a problem. I'll ensure your lenses are boxed and bubble wrapped. Please let us know once you've placed the order.

  • Hey mate,

My wife is buying these how do we get free shipping, she clicked like on facebook but shipping is still showing up??

    cheers

    • Order the lenses as per usual. When you get to the cart page, there will be a link you click to 'Like' Us. Once you click the like button the delivery fee should be removed.

If the delivery fee has still not been removed, continue the order as normal and when you get to the payment page click on Direct Debit (instead of credit card) then drop me an email. I'll remove the delivery fee for you and send you a link which you can then pay the balance by credit card.

  • I've read somewhere that these are not as comfortable as Focus Night & Days.
Can anyone share their experience with these?

    • Both lenses are made by the same manufacturer Ciba Vision. They are both monthly lenses, however Night & Day contact lenses are made of silicone hydrogel and are marketed as an extended wear monthly lens. This means the lenses may be worn for up to 30 days continuously. However this should only be done under the guidance of your optometrist.

Usually Night and day lenses are not as comfortable as Air optix because they have a higher modulus. This means the lens is stiffer and more rigid. However because it is made of silicone hydrogel the material is more 'breathable' and offers a healthier option when wearing contacts. If you're somebody who tends to suffer from red eyes when wearing contacts, or want the convenience of wearing contact lenses continuously, Night and Day contact lenses may be a good option. But remember that you should always follow your optometrists advice when wearing contacts.

Air optix has a lower modulus meaning the material is softer which promotes better comfort. They are not extended wear lenses and are not designed to be worn continuously. They do however contain agents which help the lens retain moisture. A dry lens one of the causes of discomfort whilst wearing contact lenses (the other is the modulus).

Reference for some of the information I've talked about can be found here: http://www.clspectrum.com/article.aspx?article=12906

    • I wear air optix daily, and they're pretty good.

I'd previously tried night and day, and wore them continuously, but got a corneal infection. So the opthamologist told me not to wear overnight lenses anymore.

so now i wear air optix instead, and only during the day. I occasioanlly leave them in at night (when i don't make it home after going out on a saturday night, for instance), and they're just a little dry the next morning but some eye drops sort that out.

thing is, all eyes are different, so you're probably best going to an optometrist and asking if they can give you a freebie trial pair. they usually have some lying around if your prescription isn't too weird.

      • Most optometrists will have a stash of trials in common powers. These are usually given to optometrists by the supplier so can use to fit and trial patients with them. However fitting fees may be charged.

        • Thanks
