Best Time to Book Domestic Flight from Perth to Canberra Flying Mid March 2019?

Apart from waiting for any possible sale from the airlines , is there a good time to book a flight for 1 person flying in March 2019 from Perth to Canberra ?

The earlier I book the cheaper ?

Please advise.

As I did more research , I discovered Google Flight Search has price history in the Tips tab near the middle right side . It will say something like:
"Good value
Prices for your dates are $73 less than usual.
Based on prices over the last year for weekend trips in March to Canberra."

    Yep in general, without takingsales into consideration, the earlier the better for domestic airfares

    Get a credit card and book using frequent flyer points. Currently 36,000 QFF plus $150 taxes & fees return. Looks like cash cost is $700+
