As the title says do ceiling fans have a universal size light cover? I need to replace a cover.
Do Ceiling Fans Have a Universal Size Light Cover?
Comments
Of course, thanks to ISO 123456 "ceiling fan light cover size"
There are a variety of light fittings made for generic use, one of them being ceiling fans, so, I don't think so.
Australian Lighting, Bunnings, whatever, sell them, and they are usually fairly cheap.
Easy to fit or changeover a new one although legally an electrician is needed as it is a fixed fitting.
You might find a complete fitting the same and probably cheaper and easier to get the whole thing and just replace the glass.
No.
Thanks guys. I am out of the country and need to replace a cover.
Real estate told me they couldn't find just the light cover but found a 'light kit' for $210.Fitting cost $10 + electrician = ~$50. Agent fee declared for taxation $40
Non-detailed eInvoice = $250 - discount $40 [paper (hard) copy +$50]
Due = $210 inc gst
Looks about right. [sighs]

No
Probably not. It seems that almost everything now has a million different sizes so you have to go back to the manudacturer to get overpriced spares.
