  • Xbox One S deals seem pretty conservative this year, after they were all but giving them away last year. I was hoping for a nice 4K Blu Ray player/Game Pass machine at around $200, or at least some pack-ins I could sell to get down to $200. JB seems the best so far, but hopefully something better pops up by Friday.

Well you can sell controller for $50 and if you have discounted gift cards from AMEX then that’s extra $50 off, making it $198

    • was the S cheaper that 280 last year?

  • halp please, I don't know anything about consoles :)
Should I buy this or Playstation? Are there different versions and does that matter? Like better graphics or something? Or this model is as good as any other ones, including PS?

      Refer to this page

      • Thanks, I've read the page through but I still can't find an answer to my basic question :) Although now I know the "switch" is probably not for me

    • What games do you like?

      • I used to play a lot of Battlefield on PC so I'm used to the mouse instead of the game controller. I watched a video of the new Red Dead Redemption 2 and I thought maybe I should get back into gaming a bit :)

I've got the PS4 Pro, a gaming PC and a Wii U. Finding I'm playing the PS4 Pro more and more.

RDR 2 looks great to me, that 3rd person perspective games are something PS4 exclusives are famous for with Spider-Man, God of War, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and The Last of Us.

If you are more interested in the online experience against other people, such as Battlefield or CoD, then XBox service is better, as it just works better than PlayStation's online offerings. XBox One X has the better visuals than XBox One S, so you decide whether paying more for the visuals is worthwhile. I'd say yes, if you are going to play and enjoy something, for a litte more cash, you'd get a better visual experience.

If I was playing Battlefield series again such as BF5, I'd play it on the PC. Though to me, I don't like the look of Battlefield games anymore, they have gone the Call of Duty route, which I know is popular, its just not for me.

  • extra controller is actually something usefull if you do 2 player gaming with visitors, instead of games bundles you might not want or are cheap on ebay sale …

and you might actually me more into gamepass rather than owning discs.

  • Tried price matching with JB to make use of my JB gift cards but they won't price match it because apparently this is a single box bundle :-(
