Copy and pasting what I wrote in the other threads:

I haven't received anything from the very first sale (15th October). I've called their business in the UK, and they keep promising to send it. I opened a PayPal case and after offering a few responses promising to ship it on the next business day, they eventually just stopped replying. PayPal case got escalated, but I'm gonna give this vendor a neg.

From what some people are posting, they've got their boots, but I didn't even get an order confirmation emailed to me when I paid with PayPal.

A couple of days into the PayPal dispute and they haven't even responded.

    • +1

No consolation I understand but I received mine as expected. They were couriered via UPS and arrived within a week. I remember a few others posting in the original thread also advising their orders had turned up.

In that instance the company haven't come across as shady.

      • +2

Nah, definitely not worried about them being shady, just more in the original thread people are responding with 7+ weeks waits etc, past the new year. Just negging because of the absurd levels of bad communication (worse than Aliexpress sellers) and the level of pain involved in dealing with them.

        • +1

          Which is fair enough.

        • +1

          Received mine from last deal.
Note: as you said, they were quite hard to get a hold of - I believe they were completely swamped with orders (not an excuse).

        • +3

I just received an email with a refund and an offer for my order to be fulfilled.

Full and frank disclosure, will remove my neg, but just so everyone else knows. I'll take back what I said regarding no communications, but will keep the community in the loop about how this goes.

          • +2

            @frowny: Second reply:

Just got a call from Freddie @ Collier Bistrow.
He'd let me know my situation was very special (I ordered it under my name to be sent to someone else under their name) which is why my order fell through the cracks.

Glad to see communication, and I'll remove my neg on my previous comments and chuck the edit.

    • Frustrating, I understand, but I got mine in a couple of days delivered to Melbourne with whatever the standard shipping option is on their last deal. My only gripe is I paid 80 bucks more than this deal!

      • Yeah, I can say now that the vendor has made up for the communications and that there were some roadblocks along the way (i.e. PayPal blocks email addresses typed into Dispute Resolution).

Once we did manage to get in connection it's been really good, so I revoked my neg. Can't complain, easily the cheapest RM Williams and tons of people have received them.

  • Hi Smiley Can you please PM me

    • +1

Hi op, My sneaker size is 40eu. What is equivalent for this boot?
And in case does not fix well, can I exchange in rmw store here in Australia as read somewhere in previous post?

      • +3

Best to go to an RM store to get your size checked. The fitting is a little different compared to normal laced boots.

      • Agree to go to store and get your size right. I used the R.M. Williams measurement method and I reckon I'm one size too large… Guess I just make do now!

  • +1

For those who got this from previous deal, did you have to pay gst?

    • +3

If the retailer doesn't charge GST, you won't have to pay it when it comes into the country as it is under $1000 AUD. Unless you buy 4 pairs…

      • +1

GST is now charged on all items that's imported regardless of under $1000 isn't it?

        • +4

Its up to the retailer to collect it. some do some dont.

  • I am look at getting a pair or chestnut craftsmen's. I am a US 13 in all my other shoes (I have flat feet). I do not have any nearby stores to try on so I am taking a gamble. Not sure what size to go for? I am also curious if you have to pay GST.

    • Mate, I'm a 13-14 US in my other shoes and also have flat feet but also wide. Take the gamble if width is more of an issue than length. I went a 12G in the chestnut craftsmen and they fit great. If you're worried about length, go 13 if available.

    • Regular fit G is fairly narrow, so you probably want a H width fit, and generally go half size down from your usual(that's how it was for me anyway). So I'd say about US 12.5 H

    • Stay true to size. What you get in other true to size shoes. I sized up half a size based on their online measurement method and ended up a fraction big. Should've just gone my usual 8G!

  • Hey OP, can you confirm different style and widths are included in the sale too? I need a size F boot.

    • Have you tried clicking the link and having a look? ;)

      • Thanks, but I was asking in reference to the info the OP included in the product description.

    • +1

      Hi
Yes different sizes are available but u will have to email them on the email provided but there might be a 8 week waiting period if they dont have it in stock.

  • +1

Some sizes already sold out. Hopefully, they restock this week.

  • E-mailed them hoping for a wide size in nutmeg yearling leather. Wouldn't mind waiting 8 weeks, just hoping the order goes through!

    • Got a reply from Freddie, but looks like shipping is 15.99 GBP (28 AUD) on the order bringing the total to 335 AUD.

  • just some 2c with the fit..
recently got sized up in RM store, normal size for my shoes is 9-9.5 most brands. ended up being a 8.5/G (g is normal?)

ordered from DJ's recent 20% sale + CR + TRS was a pretty good deal (I think $372 final price) as I wanted them for O/S so this current deal is pretty good if you are prepared to wait

  • I want to order a 7H size but where do I request the H width?

    https://www.rmwilliams.com.au/buyer-s-guide%3A-men-s-boots/m…

    • A bit confused, the size listed on Collier is Uk size or rmw size? I might have to go with smallest

  • +1

Yea OP I think shipping is £16

  • +1

$337.90 converted via mastercard and shipped to sydney, not bad

  • Just some info if it helps…

I ordered from the previous deal from these guys (6 weeks ago?). Customer service was left wanting but did eventually get my boots in good condition packaging. Love the boots! Very comfy.

    I got sized a few days previous to the deal in-store. I have always been an 11, in RM's I am a 10. For width I was a G - can't really help there.

  • I will need to order a custom size - I married Bigfoot. Do I need to email both email addresses, or just one of them from original post. Also, is custom sizes the discounted price? I am happy to wait the waiting period as I know a UK15 is not regularly stocked. Thanks!

Long time lurker but I decided to make an account just to share my experience from the last sale, it's a mixture of what others have posted so make of it what you will.

Last time this was posted I decided to order two pairs of boots, because why not get a set of black and a set of tan for all occasions. After the initial wait of probably a week I received my order confirmation, albeit in a weird email and without any postage details. After what must have been 2.5-3 weeks and I had started to write off my purchase I received a package. Opened it up and inside was an R.M Williams box the same as what I had seen in store when I had been in for a fitting, issue being there was only one. It's now been however long since that deal was posted and I still haven't received the other pair, I have sent half a dozen emails and the only response I've gotten is that they have been away and they will check the warehouse. At this point I'm pretty sure they aren't showing up.

So in the end I've basically paid full price for one set of boots which is probably not the worst result in the world. For what its worth the ones that did show up are great once you wear them in a little. I can walk around all day in them at work and you'd think they were a set of expensive trainers, you barely notice that they are there.

  • I got my boots pretty quickly (basically within a week or 2 from order) - I ordered the women's Adelaide boot though.

  • Anyone else finding they have to pay postage? So the cost is not what it saids in the title?

    • Are you referring to the title that says, ‘plus shipping’?

  • I got mine from the first sale. Took 2 or so weeks but they got here

  • Just sharing my experience.

I ordered 3 pairs from first sale some 6 weeks ago. It took 4 weeks to get 2 - one was wrong size. 3rd one hasn't arrived. The team is a bit ambitious during communication. Lots of promises to make up for it but unfortunately Im still missing 2 pairs and have not been refunded or given any coupons to make up for it. The site did say it would be shipped and tracked but certainly was not the case for me.

Much like a lot of others have been saying I ordered a pair in the second sale, which weren't as heavily discounted.
I have sent multiple emails now, and as others have said have had the excuse that they have been away and need to check the warehouse, since then I have been told its at least another 3 weeks before they have the boot in their warehouse to send out. They offered me a full refund which i have asked for them to process. This hasn't happened yet.

If I were looking to buy a pair now.. I'd pay an extra $100 and get them from an aussie store… which is what I plan on doing should I receive the promised refund.

  • Does anyone know what the implications are for warranty claims and subsequent repairs (e.g. sole replacements).

Any real differences that we'd miss by not buying locally at RM Williams or a store like David Jones?

  • Are these Craftsmen Chelsea boots the same as Comfort Craftsmen? I just tried on a pair of Comfort Craftsmen and they fit like a glove. Just want to make sure they are the same before ordering. Any help is greatly appreciated. P.s I need to order Size 12H do I have to email the order email address provided?

  • What sizing type of displayed on the site? UK/AU/RMW/US???

  • +3

Waste of time, tried to contact but no helpful responses. Given up raised with Visa.

  • +3

this shop is scam, they either don't have stock or they are just seriously incompetent.
order 20 days ago, 0 replies to email, no shipping confirmation.

i will be disputing this with my credit card vendor.

  • i received an order confirmation although no shipping confirmation. did the people that received their pairs get a shipping email?

    • i lied, just received a shipping confirmation with dhl right after i clicked post comment

  • Hi Op,
I am looking for these ones R.M Williams Burnished Chinchilla Chelsea Boots - Cognac, but in size 6.5 G, which does not come as an option.
Would you be able to confirm, if I can get that size? Happy to wait for some time.
    Cheers

Ordered with this sale. No correspondence or replies to email until this week and now being told February for a standard pair of boots. Pretty unhappy to say the least - suggest avoiding.

    • Got swamped with orders and Christmas warehouse close down period I believe, initially I had problems contacting CB, but since then they have been pretty transparent with me and regularly getting updates if I request them and I am in regular contact with the owner (Freddie) either via phone or email. He was very apologetic for the delay and has expressed the need to ensure all customers are happy. But yeah, it is your choice, I am sure you will get a refund if you are not happy to wait or continue to try and get in contact with them. If you haven't heard anything feel free to message me your email and I will try and follow it up for you.

  • I have just received an email from Freddie (Owner Collier Bristow) saying that all outstanding orders will receive tracking/shipping details anytime between now and the 2nd February (this is only worst case scenario for all made to order/ re stocked boots) a number of orders will start receiving their tracking/shipping info from today 4pm (UK time). Stock on the website is all completely up to date now.

    • I've emailed him 3 times in the last week and still no response. I ordered in October std size not mto.

      • I have had no trouble communicating with him since Christmas (previously was a bit of an issue), usually within a day or two. Send me your email and I will forward to him if you would like. I know that 16 pairs of boots left the warehouse yesterday (including one of my pairs!). Let me know if you would like me to look into it for you, I know its not ideal but I can give it a go for you.

        • There shouldn't be a difference between you emailing him and me.
I think they just choose not to reply to be honest, probably run out of excuses.

I think I'll just start the chargeback process.

  • Hey OzBargainers,

Just to give both old and new members and update, I was obviously one of the unhappy customers of Collier Bristow before Christmas.

However, I have since received my boots (Yesterday) and am more then satisfied and will definitely not hesitate in buying from them again. Fair play to them for fulfilling orders and sorting out their problems.

I look forward to taking advantage of their great priced RM boots and the other brands they stock in the future.

    Have a good one :)
