This is already for sale at aldi in port pirie for $99
I just bought one it needs minimal assembly 350Ml of 10/30 motor oil petrol 3 pumps of the fuel bulb and away she goes.
It does not have swinging blades like a normal lawn mower it has a single blade like a ride on mower/slasher and no throttle to play with
It also has the newer bigger motor 161cc steel body and 3 years warranty

so far so good not done much with it today

It is under $100 and if breaks in 3+ years it only cost $33 a year

would i buy it again YES
the cutting blade looks like this

      • I actually prefer the straight blades, much easier to take off and sharpen.

Just can't run over as many rocks.

    • I purchased this mower for $60 a few weeks ago.

Works great… Start first time every time… Cuts great. Good value for money. Cheaper than repairing my old Victa mover :)

      • Thanks guys, I have an old Briggs & Stratton mower, I am hoping to upgrade because my old mower is killing my back…

How did you get it for $60?

      • Where did u purchase for $60

        • I purchased it from Airport West store that had just reopened after a refurb. They had a whole pile of them left over from the previous week's sale that they were trying to clear…. The price was too good to pass up.

      • Cheaper price than having my old mower serviced and blades sharpened for $150

    • Bought one last year still going strong ..will recommend .Batteries last long enough to finish the job and no stroke engine hassles

      • Thanks man, I will have a look different options, I am in QLD so Aldi has got the electric mower, not sure how that is though…

    • Own one, if you buy it invest in eye protection. Throws up a f load of dust, does a very good job though!

Anyone has tried Aldi's lawn mower?

It was a lot tougher and didn't taste anywhere near as good as their steaks.

  • Forget about the chainsaw. Had it, used it on a wattle, threw its chain after 20 minutes(yep, kept ensuring its tension was good), ripped the casing , but true to their word, Aldi gave a full refund.

    • My experience has been the opposite. Downed a dozen large paperbarks and cut them up into lengths. Have also cut up other logs and railway sleepers and it hasn't missed a beat yet. 4-5L of fuel so far.
Like any product there are gonna be some duds.
I'd pick up another for $50.

  • May have to get the blower to deal with all the hair the wifes 5 cats shed everywhere..

  • Can someone please give address of the Aldi store

    • Just Google Altona Gate Shopping Centre

    • My bad. Gave wrong Aldi store. It's the one outside Altona Gate SC on Millers Rd & Cabots Drv, just next to Bunnings
