Hi all, for the last few months, we have Ducks swimming in our pool, sitting on the pool fence and making a hell of a mess. I have tried capguns, throwing tennis balls which haven't worked.
I've thrown brooms at them etc.
We have a shark kite floating above the pool with Silver streamers for the last few days, but they still sit on the fence. Next step is to talk the boss into putting spikes on the fence, but they're not cheap.
Also might be an excuse to buy a M4A1 Gel Blaster. ;-)
They've been arounf for several months, and their visists have started to become more frequent.
Specifically, if you're looking at the gel blaster, this alternative might be slightly safer and less messy.
Surely that is way over the top?

Imo? Definitely. It's about 10x the price of the other repellent options.
But seeing as OP was considering this thing… I figured overkill wasn't in OP's vocab =P.
I was going to buy a Nerfgun anyway, and the Gel Blaster looks cool. I was going to post a link to the one I have ordered, but I didn't want to infringe any forum guidelines.
Did you not inform them of their trespass? Perhaps they were simply unaware of the property boundaries.

Take a dump in your pool to assert territorial boundaries or kill them. These are the only two ideas even worth considering.

FYI I have not seen any ducks (or evidence) for over a week. :-) GF saw them last and reluctantly had a shot. LOL

BBQ duck is so tasty
From my past experience, ducks will only stay for a couple of weeks, have ducklings and then move on.
Then you can use a high-pressure cleaner to clean up around the pool. The pool water will clean with the usual pump / filter.
