Use cloning software. They can usually copy while preserving file attributes.
Any recommendations on decent free cloning software that would clone from 128gb to 256gb

Windows has one built in.
Use robocop with the /MIR switch in command prompt.

Not local stock and not as good as it was a few days ago however can still buy from Joyboy for about $66.25 delivered using paypal. Flash sale a few days had this down to $58.43.
