I popped into Borders at Melbourne Central on Monday … and it is all but dead. Many shelves just contained (multiple copies of) ONE book, whereas before there would have been DOZENS of different books. The magazines were even worse. The administrators would never be able to sell it as a going concern based on its current condition. The only signs of life were in the coffee area (with the usual people reading magazines and books for free!). R.I.P.
