  Drawstring at the top means that the seal will be poor resulting in poor insulation. I'm not sure if these would be much better than a supermarket cool bag.

  Having said that it is a great idea. I have two similar bags (but with zips) that I use frequently because they are easier to carry than an esky.

    CostCo has a proper backpack-style cooler bag (same as this) for about $25-30 I believe. Looks a bit smaller than this, but still claims it can carry 24 cans which is plenty for me :-)

    Haven't tested it yet (bring on summer) but should be a lot easier than lugging an esky!
