Some of you may need to sit down while reading this but I said the best, not cheapest, air vent phone holder.
Preferably Australian made, no $2 Chinese garbage from aligeardeal. com

I like it so much that I will no longer consider buying phones without wireless charging.
If you shop around, you can probably find it for sale at around $20.

I've got the Kogan branded version of this one (honestly think there's no difference) but it's been performing great so far and doesn't lose it's charge despite going over bumpy roads etc.

I'm actually being dead serious. Mock up some designs using your favourite CAD software, pay someone with a shop to CNC it for you and you'll have the very best holder you can get.
The best one is Kenu Airframe +, costs a bit more than cheap chinese knockoffs but worth it.

if your car has a CD player that you don't use, you might consider an Exogear Exomount. I bought one last year and it's great. Because i never use the cd player, it's mounted in a close and unobtrusive location.
