I bought a 2k 32" and everything now looks like I'm in LEGOLAND.
Happy to move down to a 27" but no smaller. I understand that a 2K 27" would be slightly less pixelated but I sit fairly close. This is not for gaming so an IPS would be better for off angle viewing.
I'm just not sure of what terminology to use as I'm not getting many search results.

2K is… a bit of an ambiguous term. It's commonly used to refer to 1440p monitors, but in actual numbers, 2K should be used to refer to 1080p (because 4K resolution refers to the horizontal pixel width of UHD monitors of 3840x2160), and 1080p screens have a pixel width of 1920.
So if you already have a 1440p (1440 pixels high) 32" screen, and you want the same resolution in a smaller area, you'd be looking for a 1440p 27" screen.
