Does anyone else find that this becomes very dry when about one quarter remaining in the jar?
Yup, but I find same with most near pure peanut butter.
I find helps to store it upside down though - natural mixing - but makes for a messy opening.i always scoop right to the bottom
Yep, its on of the downsides to natural/pure peanut butter unfortunately. The oils separate from the peanut butter and the last bits tend to turn into concrete unless youre going through the jar pretty quickly. The only solution is to go to the unnatural less healthy peanut better.
I try to mix mine with a clean knife/spoon as I'm going to help the oils mix through to the bottom. My last jar of Mayvers smooth didn't have this problem, but I find that the crunchy versions are usually more prone to it.
To avoid this I now give it a quick stir to the bottom each time I eat, helps distribute the oils better and ends up still being quite consistent even to the end
Nope, I just mix it well when I open it.

Haha, yep I got through my last jar of Mayver's and currently halfway through my jar of smooth Pic's. Then I have one more jar of crunchy Pic's. Might pic up a smooth Mayver's though.
Bought the Dark version of this few weeks ago. No regrets and is now my favourite.

enjoy the fact that it contains at least 30% Australian peanuts, unlike 10% (Bega) or zero (Colesworth\Aldi)
