  • amazon got a better deal but they can’t use either zipay or afterpay :(

    • Slightly better…If you're new to Shavershop you can get $10 off too.

    • Do you know if it comes with an Australian wall plug?

  • A toothbrush for $300…. does it take me out to dinner first?

    • +2

Yes and then brushes your teeth before crawling into bed with you

    • It's really worth it.
Teeth feels UPER clean and it's very minimum effort.

Works extra great with those 2step toothpaste packages :p

    • It takes a genius to lose $300 for a toothbrush.

  • Shd I get 8000 or 9000?
    It seems not much different

    • +1

The difference lies within the case. The 9000 case charges and has a slot for your phone to charge+watch while brushing in a hotel room. Maybe theres an extra setting but thats about it apart from the colour. I'm personally leaning towards the 9000 since you could literally just keep it in the case instead of the holder that sits in the bathroom.

      Smart Case

    • I have an 8000, wish I got the 9000 for the travel case with the battery, but getting a two pack of handles for $169 was better value (one for each of us, I don't think that bundle is available anymore)

      • Great deal. When was the last dual handle on sale? And where?

  • -3

That travel case is awful. Don't know what they were thinking, but made of metal with no ventilation at all once closed. Wet brush head and you got yourself mould.

    • +2

It's not made of metal , there is a giant vent.

How about you jump to Myers to actually hold one?

      It's a great case.

      • -2

Have a look at 7/8/9000 and see for yourself. I have it and it's almost a quarter of a kilo. You can see on the site, the photo shows it. There is hardly any space. Looks nice, but is impractical and heavy.

        • +2

But it is NOT HEAVY , the toothbrush itself can make the case heavy with everything in it , I OWN the 9000 series , there is a GIANT vent in the connection between the 2 doors , the case is made of SOFT TOUCH PLASTIC , it is not heavy.

Stop dissing on s*** you can't afford or understand.

          • @The Milk Man: Ok, maybe they have updated it. I have black 7000 and the case looks exactly like that in those and it is heavy almost 250g. No giant hole and after you put the toothbrush and heads, there is very little space for any air. once you close the cover it's almost like a sardine box. I'm hoping you don't mean that giant hole is where the toothbrush sits as once that is in, still no space. I had a plastic case before and it was a lot better. Light and more space with holes, but this one I can't say the same. It just looks nice and is rubberised for better grip.

        • You probably have the old case like me from years ago. The new case is very light on the 8 and 9

  • The 4000 model is $94 at Goodguys commercial for those that have access. And the 8000 is $157

  • +1

    Don't forget Cash Rewards :)

    Cheaper @ Chemist Warehouse.
    https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/shop-online/1602/oral-b-…
    $150 for 8000
    $175 for 9000

    • This is cheaper than the shaver shop deal AND you can still use AfterPay with it!

Basically with the 9000, $175 for Rose Gold from CW or $189 for black from Shaver Shop with SHAVE10. The 8000 from Shaver Shop is better deal than CW beating it by $1 with SHAVE10 though.

  • Don't forget to use SHAVE10 to take $10 off when using the Shaver Shop website. Brings the 9000 down to $189 delivered.

  • IF I way buying a $300 tooth brush I would expect it to give me a happy ending and the end of each clean

  • +1

    The 9000 white sakura is $159 it $149 with shave10 code https://www.shavershop.com.au/oral-b/genius-9000-white-elect…

    • nice. bought one for missus

  • Might be worth checking out chemist warehouse - the 9000 is $175 and the 8000 is $160…
    https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/84791/oral-b-genius-…

I bought the 9000 a few weeks ago from JB, for $175, price matched to chemist warehouse. (had a JB voucher to use)

  • These never sell close to rrp. Target sell the 9000 for $199 without special. Pretty sure chemist warehouse had these cheaper too

  • I was sceptical of these toothbrushes, but after getting one a couple of years back - think it is the 7000 model? - I am sold.

Teeth feel much cleaner and are easier to clean. Then went to my dentist after a year of using for a clean up and she basically said there was next to no tartar build up to clean, putting it down to the toothbrush.

Have had it to over 2 years and hasn't skipped a beat so quality is good. Also travel a lot with work and never had issues with unsanitory conditions in the travel case.
