Pretty sure you can get a free 14 day game pass from Microsoft and DL/play this game. Played a few nights this week and while it's visually fantastic, I can feel myself getting tired of the gameplay and storyline. Has a fair bit of extra DLC as well so might be better to hang out for a deal on the deluxe version if Horizon 4 is your thing.
FH4 is really good. However, after playing all 4 seasons once, I am tired of the game already. Also, with RDR2 released, really don't have time for FH4.
It's best you just play FH4 via GamePass for a month first. If you still really like it after that, then buy it.

On paper this game is pretty much FH3 with just stuff fine tuned but at the same time I feel like this game is so much better and I can't pin point why
I usually prefer the handling dynamics in Dirt but after playing Forza Horizon 4 then switching to Dirt 4 to play for the first time I really preferred FH4. Visually superior and didn't feel like the progression obstacles were too hard before you got into some really exotic cars and upgrades. FH3 I didn't spend enough time getting into but I enjoy FH4 a lot.
Improved graphics / visuals - especially on XB1X (even though FH3 did receive XB1X enhanced graphics eventually, it was rather late and the difference wasn't that big - on FH4, it is quite noticeable on 4K or even 1440p). Seasonal changes. More variety.
However, the cost of the houses (or castles) and the dumb wheel spins at times can be quite frustrating. 10 mils to buy a castle to unlock the last barn car. The formula drift DLC cars need to be purchased using in game credits. It was enjoyable earlier on, but after a while, it starts to feel repetitive.
You race giant machinery like trains and hover craft to classical music in FH4. FH3 has you racing a helicopter :(

Not really a fan of doing laps or racing games in general but Horizon is my favorite, I find it peaceful, just driving around doing the "content", I rarely actual race anything.
Hard to justify getting 4 when you have 3 though, I've ggot the demo for 4 and it IS a little prettier but its basically the exact same game
