Looking for the above that will also have,

Wondering what others have bought and would recommend.

e.g. Xiaomi Mi Box looks OK, but not sure if it has a browser?

All Android TV boxes have a browser. You can sideload anything onto it and run your own browser of choice.

The only major differences are the hardware and whether it's Android TV approved. < website has a list of them and you'll see Xiaomi Mi box and two other offerings from Vodafone and Foxtel also listed.
