Yes, they are low-self-discharge NiMh batteries.
It seems every battery manufacturer uses a different phrase to indicate they are LSD batteries. Perhaps they've trademarked their particular phrase? I've seen "Ready to use", "pre-charged", "low self-discharge" and others.
Or it might just be that they don't like saying "low self-discharge", because it sounds like a bad thing. "Ready to use" and "pre-charged" sound like good things.
Aldi sell 4-packs of AA and AAA batteries for $5.99/pack. I've had good success with those, so I won't be considering this deal.
My Aldi ones I just got were all flat!
Wasn't too impressed with the Aldi ones (though depends when you got them, don't think they are always from the same manufacturer)
Mine were all under capacity (supposed to be 2400mAh, were all around 2000 and didn't improve after a few cycles) and don't hold a charge as well as others.
I'll stick to my Turnigy ones for now.
I agree that Turnigy are good, I have some myself. But ordering them from Hobbyking involves shipping costs and delay. Aldi are roughly the same in terms of total cost, and far more convenient in terms of speed and ease of purchase. For me, that makes up for the slightly lower capacity (which still matches or exceeds standard eneloop batteries, by the way).
"Very low self-discharge" according to:

I use these and eneloops in my Xbox one controllers. Obviously the eneloops out match them, but the do well enough for the price.
I might grab these in preparation for Xmas toys.
Would these batteries be better than the choice recommend ones at Coles for $7?

Are these LSD? Anyone used them & can comment on quality?
